Coach Purse Outlet

I love Coach outlet!! My most recent purchase was a medium sized red leather tote-like purse, original price $390, I paid $119 after outlet price/discount/sale/coupon. I have gotten numerous complements on it. The funny thing is that I looked at the receipt the other day, and it was listed as a lunch tote! It is really pretty, and the leather is gorgeous! And it's RED!!

Has anyone been to the outlet in Atlantic City? Is it worth the trip? I will be in AC at the end of the month, but don't want to make a special trip to the outlet if it's not that great. I've been to the one in Las Vegas and Orlando and they were AWESOME! Thanks!

I was just wondering if the actual Coach stores ever have any sales. I bought a purse over Christmas at the outlet but would now like to get a wallet without having to drive all the way to the outlet. Being this is the budget, I am always looking for a deal, not full price.:goodvibes

I like Coach purse. anyway, Great bags.. really beautiful..I'm very interested! I would love to find out more.

I know they stand behind their bags (from the Coach store at least) because my DD had her bag "taken back" by a sales person when we walked into our local Coach store(just to look at what was new) and they noticed some small beads had come off her bag.(it was at least 2 years old) They gave her the FULL credit on the bag and told her go pick out a NEW one!!

Your DD was very lucky....
I have a backpack that is in the large C beige/brown fabric and i have been to several couch outlets and regular stores asking them what i should do about the fabric wearing off in the spots that the backpack folds and the leather piping going around the bottom of the backpack. I also have the silver pitting off the buckle to close the backpack. I was told to print out a form and send the form and $20 to the company, they will decide if they can repair it but not always a guarantee. I had it for 1 year. I stop using it and bought the same in black, after 1 year the black one looks like the beige/brown one with out the pitting buckle. i just think it is a bad design where the backpack has its folds.

but i love the backpack and i havent seen the leathers ones except for the ones that you can make an easy mark in the leather.

For the people that live near (or will be near on vacation) a Coach outlet at a Tanger Outlet Mall, they're doing a breast cancer fundraising thing now. You can donate $1 and get a 25% off coupon (good on a single item). It's going on until Oct 20. I'd assume all of them follow the same policy, but I know the one in Sevierville, TN (near Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg) will let you use multiple coupons so you can get multiple items with 25% off.

Yes, I have been there a few times. They do have a good selection but it is hit or miss. First time, I found nothing, second time I found a wristlet for my sons girlfriend as well as a pocketbook for my daughter.

If you live in NJ, I would suggest the Coach Outlet in Jackson (exit 7A off the turnpike). I think they have a much better selection. I was there last week and had no problem finding something for me and my daughter. :cool1:

We have a Coach Outlet store 10 minutes from our house. It's mostly crap they make just for sale at their outlet stores. They do ship in stuff from the regular stores but there are resellers who stop in every day to look for those items to sell on Ebay so if you're getting the real stuff it's because it wasn't priced low enough to bother reselling. My wife did that (reselling) for a while but for us it wasn't worth the hassle. We did get to learn a lot about the store while she was doing it which is why we never shop there :) They don't miss us tho, every weekend the place is a madhouse.

Your bag is falling apart because of shoddy production! Your bag is made in China and says so right inside. I have several old bags that are 100% leather and were made in Mass, before Coach was bought by Sara Lee and off shored to China. I still use them occasionally but would not spend one cent on anything they make now, I work too hard for my money to spend it on cheap crap! and yes, they do produce for their outlets!

I think that they are making bags just for the outlets. I could very possibly be wrong, but if I see a really cute bag I find that it never makes it to the outlet. just my observation. I know Gap makes Gap outlet clothes. kwim:confused3

This IS what happens. You can usually tell when a bag was made just for the outlet store: the straps are thinner and the material just isn't as nice.

This isn't always the case at all stores or with all of the bags that the outlet stores sell.

does anyone know or had done this ... call the outlet .. and they can send you the purse you want ?? giving your cc over the phone ?
thanks

I've never done it myself, but my chiropractor once told me he does it every year for his wife at Christmas. I have bought 3 purses and 2 wallets at the Coach outlet and have been very happy with all of them.

sign up for their emails, I got one today with a 20% off coupon at the outlets. Good for 3 more days. Also, they often hand you a coupon when you walk in.

Here's the problem with those "coupons": By saying it's an outlet store they get you thinking in terms of the prices at the regular stores. So when you walk in they show a bag with a MSRP then an outlet discount. Then you apply your coupon and save even more. What a deal :worship:

The only problem is that, for the most part, you are buying product that was manufactured specifically for those outlet stores. The MSRP is merely something they use to get you thinking about the regular stores and after all of the "discounts" you are paying exactly what they wanted to charge for the bag anyway. You are buying an inferior product and not saving a penny. :scared1:

I got my coach at the outlet for 87 regular price was about 300. There was a coupon that weekend which helped but prices were great.

I've asked the staff if they could show me the ones that aren't manufactured just for the outlet. For the most part, the friendlier ones are willing to help. Ive had a few deny any are manufactured for the outlet but we know that's not true!

I love the Coach outlet in Atlantic City!! Its the biggest coach outlet I have been to. They usually hand out 20% off coupons to use that day. I cant leave that store without buying something thats why I only go once a yr. I would never pay full price for one.

I stopped by the Coach outlet yesterday and they had additional 50% off clearance bags plus the 20% from the coupon. I scored a great black leather bag for $80! Its this one....http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B002M248WA/ref=dp_image_0?ie=UTF8&n=1036592&s=apparel Not the most recent style, but its exactly what I wanted.

I bought a Coach wallet at the outlets near Disney last year and it has lasted and lasted. I've used it every day since I bought it. I've been very happy with my purchases.

You are correct. The Coach Outlet and Coach Inc are two separate entities, even they are under the same corporation. Even though the outlets do receive products that are no longer sold in Coach stores, they also supplement inventory but creating their own handbags. Usually the handbags cater to a more classic Coach customer that favors the original, less trendy styles that Coach used to offer. (If you've been in a regular Coach store lately, the styles have completely changed.) They lines usually tend to be made from left over designs and materials as well so Coach can get their money's worth. Basically they are trying to cater to as many different customers as possible. It's pretty interesting the way they have divided it up! I used to work for Coach and I interned at their corp. office in NYC :)

The products are by no means inferior. They are still manufactured in the same factories and use a lot of the same materials. They may not be as up to date and trendy as what you will see in a regular Coach store, but the point is you are buying something a little more simplistic and less fashion forward. Of course the Mark Up is still high, but it's not as high as regular Coach bag. You are still paying to own a Coach. Take care of your outlet bag and it will still last you a long time!
