I haven't read all the replies, so I apologize if this has been said, but for $300, and if you hit the clearance section of the outlets at the right time, you could get a very nice purse. Or two. 
I just got a medium-sized black signature optic for $130. The clearance area is where you should head first thing, snatch up anything that looks interesting, and carry them around. If it's a busy day, something that caught your eye at the beginning may not be there when you circle back again!
