Her father is that UN Envoy who got in hot water last week when he said on French radio that the US policy toward Israel was the reason for mideast instability, and that the US (paraphrasing here) basically gets what they deserve ... Kofi Annan had to backpedal from that one pretty quickly ... it was embarrassing for Bush, as well.
