We have ADR's for some restaurants that require 2 ts credits. I know my son, age 12 would prefer to order from the kids menu-just from looking at the menus. Will the restaurants such as Yachtsman or Narcooses, let him order from the children's menu, NOT use his ADULT TS credits and allow us to pay cash for his meal?

Also, do all of the parties need to be present to use TS credits. For example, I have a feeling that my children will not be sitting for some of the measl. So if DH and I go to a TS restaurant, can we use the adult credits on my sons cards?

The best answer is maybe. It isn't part of the service Disney promises, but many folks have been successful getting accommodated as you are suggesting here by asking politely. However, as I mentioned in the other thread, this kind of thing is up to the server and/or manager of the restaurant, and experiences may vary even from guest-to-guest.

All the adult TS credits are altogether in one pool. Any of those 10 years old and over can use any of those credits.

When you say "altogether in one pool", is there a "dining Card" or is are the meal credits listed on the room key?

The meal credits are on-account. The room keys for the room are tied to that account.

I just got off the phone with Disney dining and asked this same question about my 11 yr old. The lady kept me on hold for several minutes before telling me that yes, she could order off of the child's menu but it would still count as an adult credit.

Please do understand, though, that the folks you talk to on the telephone, aren't in charge (they may not even be located in Orlando!) and so you should not take the verbal answers to any specific questions you ask them about restaurant operational policy as gospel... if it is critical that the information you get from them be accurate, be sure to get it from them in writing on Disney stationary. Based on the resports of many guests, it is clear that that is the only way to ensure that you'll get what they promise you, regarding restaurant operational policy issues, like this one.
