In July, we are going to WDW for our honeymoon. Obviously, it will just be the two of us. Since it is our honeymoon, we would like to have some pictures of the two of us without having to buy every ride photo from Disney. I heard a rumour that CMs come out with the characters and are willing to take photos for you? Is this true? If not, what do you suggest we do? I hate to bother strangers all the time to take our photo.

You can ask any CM to take your picture with your camera and they will be more than happy to do it. Those that work with the characters are more than used to it. But don't be afraid to ask strangers too. I travel alone or with just one other person often, and I like to have pictures that I'm in! Also, I usually look for people in your situation (you know, you see the husband lining his wife up for the shot, or Mom lining up dad and the kids) and offer to take their picture together. Usually people are very greatful and more than happy to return the favor.

The CMs who take the photos at the park entrances will be glad to take a picture of you with your camera. They've offered to do this for us many times, but we've also asked on occasion. We recently had a picture taken by a CM with Pooh, so I know they'll do it with the characters as well. Congrats and have a great trip!

That is so great to hear. That puts my mind at ease and finally we'll have some photos with both of us in them.

We have had success with every CM we've asked including the street sweeper and even those working concessions!!!

Typically it's best to have your snapshot arranged and camera ready so it's a quick click for all involved...

The CM's are there for your / because of you...

(and remember to say "please" and "thank you")

Almost all CMs will be happy to take your photos for you, the only ones I can think of that wont are Lifeguards that are on duty (which is self explanitory)

I've even had Chip from Chip and Dale take our pic once. A lot of times characters will get a CM to take picture with both of you in it.

My wife is always offering to take pictures for people. She gets a lot of great cameras that way... (just kidding).

Last year I was taking a picture of my family and a security guard ASKED ME if he could take a picture of ALL of us. I was so thankful that he went out of his way for us. Its 1 of my favorite pictures.

I have 16 rolls of film packed (probably not enough). I love to take pictures - whether it be with my camera or yours. I'll be there next week, so don't hesitate to ask me (lol). I'd be happy to help!

I should practice what I preach...I admit I'm hesitant to ask.

As someone else said "please" and "thank you" go a long way.

Some of the best WDW pics I have were taken by CMs.

I also always look for singles/couples in our same situation. It really makes us feel good to be able to do that for people, and they always act so amazed that we would do that for them without being asked. I'm also not shy about asking if someone will take our picture. It's so worth it to have pictures of the both of you! Enjoy!
