CMO TOP 10 Announced

Sort of. We are still in Savannah for tonight and will return home tomorrow. So I should be back in full tomorrow for the last week of voting. I had the best time in Disney World with the family. The food was great, we ate a lot of it, but walked most of the calories off each day. I even got a chance to hang out with fellow Top 10'er Meggin. She was great! (Hey Meggin! I really paid the price for eating that double scoop of chocolate from Beaches & Cream). I also met some great folks while there and got some good CMO advice. I put a video on my blog: http://tripp4cmo.blogspot.com

I've got some catching up to do and will check in later.

You did a great job. I'm proud to say I am the first person with a beard to work as a butler in the Haunted Mansion (to my knowledge anyway) AND to be cat-o-tar-ed.

Woo hoo! then this is definitely going on my resume! ;)

I went back and watched the 2007 winners' cmo video "entry" again. It was so funny - and I saw in the credits you were one of the main instigators! Excellent job - it really made me laugh. :thumbsup2

And it gave a little glimpse into the neat relationships you all made from the contest last year. I think both you and ktp have mentioned that's one of the things that's missing this year. I have to admit, I'm more envious of that experience than I am of Andy's artistic talent!

OMG!!! Tripp!! Meggin!! Sorry Justin!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Too funny! EXCELLENT video!!! :thumbsup2 Great idea with the cm's--the police officer was especially funny! And of course your little girls are just so cute!

I'm still out here...
As I mentioned before, I had a crazy week at work last week...then I caught the FLU. Ironic, since I won a contest a few months ago for this:

And of course, I lost a little interest in the CMO contest onece I didn't make the top 10--but I have been looking in on the thread from time to time so I wasn't TOTALLY out of the loop.

Good job on the Norton Andimator!

You'll know you've really made the big time when you've been cat-o-feather-ed too!

Welcome back Trippin' Glad to hear you had a terrific vacation. Do your lungs still hurt from huggin' Meggin's bears? I hear the polar is especially fierce.

Brodie deserves most of the credit. My first version of the script tried to fit within the alloted 60 second time limit. Brodie threw that restriction out (we're inelligible anyway) and vastly improved it (that's an understatement).

Ricky deserves a lot of credit too (though he was too modest to list it on the credits). He wrote up a scene-by-scene shot list for each of us that told us exactly how to film our parts so that it could all be put together seemlessly. He also did all the video and audio editing. This includes adding all the ringtones and simulating the phone quality audio. He also is responsible for the cool effects in the "spindle scene".

Obviously the sponsors knew what they were doing last year, cuz you are all very creative and funny!

Sigh, I guess that means I have to consider that they knew what they were doing this year..........NAW! I don't have to be that mature!

So glad you're back! We've missed you. It was so kind of you to leave your soapbox behind, we kept it warm for you! ;)

On a serious note, we heard about the horrible storm in Atlanta and the damage it caused....everything ok where you are?

Great video by the way..... can't wait to hear more about your trip, Tripp! :lmao:

Maybe they just had different people picking???

The Atlanta storms and tornado were crazy. I have only seen what you have on TV or the internet. I have a house that I am renting out near the downtown area, but it was safe from the storm.

We are still in Savannah (About 5 hours from Atlanta on the coast) and had a tornado hit a power plant near here around 10:00p last night and knock the power out in four counties. I had just started watching this past week's LOST on abc.com. I have a lot to catch up on. The power finally came back on around 5:30a. Didn't get too much sleep because the tornado sirens were going off all night and I kept checking on the kids. We are getting in the car in a little while to drive back to Atlanta.

Thanks for asking. I'll pop back in later with some more info on our trip. It was Spring Break in Canada so the parks were packed! Talk to you later.

Tripp -- welcome back! Loved your video and the sneak peak at the new parade!

Cat -- great avatar for 1st time caller!

Tripp - Sorry I missed you while you were here. I've been really busy lately!

I just posted Show 154 of Inside the Magic featuring an interview with Jennifer Sechler... which means that Tangela is the only one of the Top 10 that I haven't had a chance to talk to, unfortunately.

You can listen to Jennifer's interview at http://www.distantcreations.com/**************

Thanks to the 9 of 10 that joined me on the show. If Tangela makes to the Top 3, hopefully I'll get a chance to talk to her then.

For anyone who hasn't, you can listen to the other 8 on Shows 152 and 153 of Inside the Magic in the Archive section of the site.
