Well, she teaches high school english full-time, but also works at a dance studio as a ballet and pointe instructor. A teacher is off very sick this week, so she is headed to the studio tomorrow to put in 6 hours right after school, plus another 6 hour shift Wednesday (thus making 2 15 hour days in a row!) and then she has her normal classes on Saturday when she works about 8 hours. I seriously don't know how long she can keep it up!

She isn't even addicted to Starbucks yet. Seriously. :sad2:

wow--it sounds as if she's as amazing as you are!! i wouldn't expect anything else.

you know what's funny? my husband is a professor, and he's also a dancer. in fact, that's how we met. we were in a show where he was the choreographer and played my brother. i, on the other hand, am a very white girl with two left feet. i like to sing, and i feel like i'm pretty musical, but i am rhythmically challenged when it comes to dancing.

i seriously don't know how your wife is going to keep that up, though!! she may indeed become addicted to starbucks before the week is out!

i seem to always have quite a few jobs. i like to say that the odd jobs support my acting habit :) right now, i write study guides for a performing arts center, i work at the kiddie gym portion of a gold's gym (taking care of kids while parents are working out) four mornings a week, and i'm in rehearsals for a new show in the evenings.

i did have fun giving out stickers/candy at publix today. i met some neat people. also, i got a chance to see one of my best friends for a few minutes and her adorable dog (both featured in my video, behind the camera and with a starring role).

did you have a good day at work? it sounds like yours was VERY long!

So that wasn't your dog in your video? I was going to ask you about that! He/she really was adorable!

What's the show you're working on? I'm glad you had a good time at publix! I'm hoping to get out a bit on Thursday and Friday to make some "appearances"! I'm also 'hosting' (not sure if that's the right word, but you know what I mean) 4 presentations of a preschool Easter pageant-type thing later this week, so I'll do what I can to milk that exposure!

Ha! That's a great story about you and your husband. (thanks for the compliment, by the way! I think you made me blush. She is pretty incredible. Like any couple we have our ups and downs, but like most guys I know I totally don't deserve her!)

See, I'm like you. I can sing (sort of) and I play a bunch of instruments but I can only dance when the choreography specifically calls for someone who is supposed to look like they are flailing or tyring to keep themselves from drowning. . . generally speaking that is.

i'm working on hosting a double-dare type show two nights a week. orlando is certainly a town filled to the brim with themed entertainment. they create shows for everything!!

i'm sure that your hosting will be awesome--man, you're beating me so bad!! at least i live up to my underdog status :) ha!

i WISH that little howie the dachshund was my dog. my husband isn't ready for an animal, so i'm howie's auntie meggin. when my friends go out of town, i stay at their apartment and spend the nights with howie. he sleeps in the bed like a little person. in the morning, somehow his head always finds its way up to the other pillow while he's laying on his back. i love him SO much!!

Phew! All my promised voting is complete!

Now to work on spiffing up Justin's "vote me" link!

Yikes! Based on everyone's comments, I think I should stick to the wee-early-morning shift (when everyone else is sleeping). Of course, then I'd still likely be dealing with Internet traffic from the Pacific-time folks. (Hmmmm... Maybe this is one instance when procrastination would really pay off, since everyone seems to be doing their 100 consecutive votes today... :rolleyes1)

Hey, quick funny thought here. The word procrastination reminded me of it. Have any of you read the book "The Imagineering Way (ideas to ignite your creativity)" by The Imagineers? It's published by Disney Editions and can be ordered with a companion book called "The Imagineering Workout (exercises to shape your creative muscles)" Really great books.

Anyway, The Imagineering Way is essentially a collection of thoughts, essays, stories, and comics from The Imagineers that attempt to shed light on their creative process. One of them, written by Bruce Gordon, is titled "Crastination: A Job Best Left to the Pros" - - - as expected it is very clever!

Okay, that was a random post, but if any of you don't have this book you should definitely pick it up!

haha! we really do have SO much in common! my friends all have stories about watching me trip and fall down (on and off stage). it's a running gag that i should walk through life with a helmet on. i somehow always learn the choreography that i need for shows, but it definitely takes me a LOT of extra work and time.

i think my husband has that book on his bookshelf right now!! i had the incredible honor of eating in the imagineering cafeteria a few years ago. i was so close to those wonderful people! and they eat stuff like we do!!

AWWW! I really want a dog, but I'm not home enough and we don't have a lot of room. We have two adorable cats, though. I'm a total sucker for animals, and Howie the Dachshund stole my heart in his brief cameo!

And, no, I don't think I'm beating you. Have you seen your car lately? All mine has on it is snow and ice clumped behind the wheels and that ugly gray, dirty film from winter driving in PA. Yuck.

Nice! Thank you SO much! So when do I get the chance to be "cat-o-mated"? I'll even provide the crayons if I have to!

Seriously? They don't consume some sort of superfood designed to fuel a life filled with creative discovery and magic dream making? I think I'm disillusioned . . . ;)

All kidding aside, I am pretty jealous right now!

Okay, I seriously need to go to bed this time. Seriously. I really mean it.

I'm going . . .

sort of . . .

of course you're beating me!! i've seen the love on the boards :) and it is well deserved, my friend :)

see, now I'm jealous of you because of your kitty cats!! i LOVE animals, too! ron (my husband) is "allergic" to cats (i think we need to test that allergy--it's possible that he's grown out of it and doesn't know it), and he's not crazy about pet hair in the home. we're also pretty busy people, so it wouldn't be fair to a doggy to leave it in a crate all day long.

i'm actually jealous about the snow, too. i miss snow and even ice :) ron went to grad school at carnegie mellon--are you near pittsburgh?

All kidding aside, I am pretty jealous right now!

no need to be jealous! you will be among the elite soon!!

you know, i got a patch while i was there that i've been saving for a rainy day to put on something special. if you email me your address, i'll send it to you. i know that you'd treasure it.

goodnight for real! i should probably be going to bed myself.

disboards, sorry that i've just monopolized this page with our conversation! how rude of me!!

ok, definitely shutting up now......

Yeah! I live just north of Pittsburgh (maybe 15 miles). I've lived in or near Pittsburgh most of my life (a brief stint in Texas). When was Ron in grad school and what did he major in? I've had some friends get their masters from CMU - - - great school!

Oh - - - time for a little bragging here - - - you would be SO much more jealous if you could actually meet my cats. They are they cutest things. Once I learn to be super-smart like you and post pictures I'll try send you a couple photos of them. I don't know how they do it, but they get cuter every day. . .

Hi everyone! Justin, I LOVED your term "DISbate Hangover" :rotfl2: (that was you, wasn't it...I just read several pages as fast as I could). What a fun, fun time last night! I've been having withdrawals (no pun intended) from the DISboards all day today!

Nice! Thank you SO much! So when do I get the chance to be "cat-o-mated"? I'll even provide the crayons if I have to!

If you really want one of my goofy cat-o-tars...I'll do one.

You want me to just do one from your video, or is there a picture you want me to use?

I'm going this time too! I'm also sorry for taking up a couple of pages with that conversation! I hope you enjoy reading it though!

Good night

yep, i lied. not shutting up just yet, but almost!

ron got his grad degree in entertainment technology in '02 from carnegie mellon's ETC. he LOVED it, and still keeps in touch with a lot of his friends from there.

you know, marshay taught me how to post those pictures. i can copy and paste her instructions into a pm for you! i would LOVE to see those cats! i cat-sat for 3 siamese cats for a few months after i graduated from furman. i loved how they used to sleep on my legs. yep, you're right. i'm SUPER-JEALOUS!!
