Another vote for Ziggy.

Wow, that shot is amazing. A black lab against a black background, and every detail is sharp. Your daughter is great. Is she looking to make photography a career?

I'm passing the info on to my sister - she's involved in a feral cat rescue group, but she supports all animal causes. Hopefully she'll pass this on to her contacts as well.

Good luck to your daughter!

Cat

Wow, I admire animal lovers who make a difference!!!! Here's to your sis!!!!:thumbsup2

Ok... so here is what I am thinking. (Feel free to comment... nothing is locked in stone) Sunday night at 9 PM EST. Ninety minute DISbate followed by a 30 minute "Spin Room"

The candidates are all invited to participate, and will need to tell us in advance that they will be here "live" Anyone who can't make it will have the opportunity to answer a couple of questions via email, but will have a time limit to respond so as not to give them an advantage.

The point of the debate will be for FUN... not to grill the candidates. Anyone can submit a question to me via email. I'll compile a list and send it out to a committee who will choose the final questions. Some questions may be asked by "celebrity" guests.

PART ONE: Each candidate will be able to post an opening statement in real time. Then a series of questions will be asked to ALL of the candidates and they will have five minutes per question to post a response (quoting the question in their post so we can keep track) There will be approximately 5 questions in that section.

PART TWO: In the second section, we will ask individual questions to individual candidates. Again, any candidate not present will have the opportunity to have their answers posted for them... but if they are asked in advance they will have the same amount of time as the "live" candidates.

PART THREE: Finally, each candidate that agrees to participate will be able to ask one question of another candidate assigned at random. They will be informed of their assigned candidate at least 24 hours in advance.

THE SPIN ROOM: Following the debate, we will have 30 minutes in The Spin Room. This will be the time for supporters to lay out reasons why their candidate is the best.

I will personally pledge 10 votes to each candidate that participates, and 100 votes to the candidate that I feel performs best in the DISbate. Other participants are encouraged to pledge votes.

CANDIDATES: This is your chance to garner the support of some of the most passionate Disney fans out there. If you can win them over, you can count on THOUSANDS of votes. It will definitely be worth your while to participate.

Ok DIScademy... thoughts?

So, HMF: Is Jay as into "Our Sponsor" as you are, or are you the big Sponsor-crazy member of your family?
He enjoys the general Orlando area, that is why we decided to buy a condo down there, he likes the "Sponsor".... but to my dismay he likes Universal better. Shenanigans on that!

What a busy couple of days!
One vote for Ziggy from the west coast, what an extra super cutie and great picture.
Adored HMF's celebratory photos and the snow sculpture.
Go, Fleagle, go! Love your idea.
Also like the idea of the purebread labs. They do seem to love bread and cookies and cake...and they are most sweet when they dress up.
Tothesea - great idea for CMOing!
Marshay - How is the album coming?
Karrie - OK, now you have to spill about the medical drama!
Hope Justin's day at work was fun, if long.
I just love this neighborhood.

Oh no!!!! I will be in Disney then. I guess I won't be able to participate. Maybe I can send some stuff in through YouTube... "live via satellite" or something.

O.k. Circusgirl - I am going to have to learn how to take shorthand like you! You say it all and in only one post!!! Love it! Love it Love it!!!:goodvibes Do you take notes? or do you have a fantastic memory?

I am definately "too wordy":scared:

I dunno HMF... That might have been a "deal breaker" for me! ;)

Actually, my DH truly appreciates the "Sponsor," recognizes that everything affiliated with the "Sponsor" is typically top-notch and enjoys himself while we're at the "Sponsor's" properties. I'm sure he also thinks I'm a bit too fanatical about it all! (Fortunately, it's mostly just amusing to him, I think...)

My biggest "complaint": We do have different ideas about how frequently we should visit the Parks. Obviously, mine are more aggressive! :rolleyes1

Cal's back!!! Can't wait for your trip report for the Dream Suite! :hippie:

I love all the dogs on here tonight!!! That's another thing I would do...make a sponsor hotel that welcomes dogs traveling with their families! :dog: :dog2: :dogdance: :goofy:

For the DISbate--I think the structure looks great--pretty amazing. Sorry though Tripp that you won't be here, but I know you'll be having a great time for sure! And at least you'll still get to participate. :goodvibes

Hi KTP - Looking forward to living vicariously through your pictures of snow. Hope you have a nice storm. Our winter included just a couple of weeks of rain....and after the big fire we had, everything turned to mud... Yuck.

They've revised to 5-9" now. Guys, if I am not around for an extended time, it would be due to power outage. The power seems to go down in the rain even sometimes!

Ahhh! (I hear 'ya!)

Sadly, that's not as easy when the "Sponsor" isn't located in our backyard! :sad2: Again, I envy your proximity to the Park...

Oh, I was talking about my next trip to DW in April...:rotfl2:
he will be staying home to dogsit....I will be on the Wonder with a Bahama Mama...Now that's what I'm talking about! :rotfl2:

See what you started HMF? (shananagins is contagious!)

Tripp... we'll set you up with some questions in advance... no worries. When do you leave?

We leave Friday at 3:00p. *yawn* I'm exhausted from all of the campaigning I did today. I need to bail and get some sleep. Talk to you later.

Yea!!! KTP will be re-creating the Magic Kingdom and Epcott with all of this snow!!!:cool1:

Seriously, though! Wouldn't that have made for an interesting CMO video submission. ('Might have given the nominees for "Best Use of Personal Disney Stuff" a real run for their money...)

"And to demonstrate my true passion for all things Disney (sorry, Kenny!), I've used freshly fallen snow to create a scale model of the 40-square-mile Disney Resort..."

I'm looking forward to the next installment of the snow kingdom! I can't wait to see who (or what) is possible with 5-9" of snow.
