Good point Denae! I didn't remember that part about Lonestar or maybe that was when I was getting some ice cream. I really thought it was aimed at Big&Rich.

Yeah - I don't really understand the thrill of Shania Twain. (although I be the men will disagree with me)
Her "performance" last night was horrible...especially when it was obvious that HALF the duo was really singing (and it wasn't her).
And, I am sorry I missed Keith Urban - he is the new love of my life (sorry, honey)Originally posted by stinkerbelle

Replace Billy with a Brass Pole and you prolly woulda had a better performance from her. Like back in the day before she was a star.

Did ya'll know that they are moving the show from Nashville to New York? Does it seem odd that there are no country music award shows in Nashville, home of country music?

LOTS of country stars court both country and pop. It makes them a LOT more money.

MMM MMMM my Timmy did an awesome job last night. I saw some pics on my fanclub site of Tim giving Kenny a big hug for winning entertainer of the year. He's a class act all the way.

I have to say I'm really disappointed with the CMA's last night. Seems like every year, they try and cram in more performers and let a few more awards slip over into the pre-show. That's really too bad.
Also i disagree that Brooks & Dunn were not good hosts. Trouble was it was done all wrong. I've been to 3 of their concerts and they put on a great show, and if they'd been left together for more of the show and let loose they'd have been a lot better. I blame whoever's the producer for this. Its hard to replace Vince but really, you gotta let the dice roll sometimes.
Course, I also think that last night was not the usual party atmosphere I'm used to for the CMA's. Did anybody else think this? Almost everybody sang something meaningful and poignant. While i expected that from a few singers, the fact that most of them did that left me a little dissapointed. All beautiful songs for certain, but I was hoping for a more upbeat night, and didn't get
it.![]()
