CM told me PIN codes based on targeted areas...

Just wondering, we haven't...yet;)

Hi neighbor (in Harmar), no code here. Either way, I will probably never end up with one because when I'm not living in PA, I'm living in NJ. Maybe NJ can do an exchange program where we offer a special "code" for people to visit us up north during the respective Jersey week?! AND....after 18 years of NJ public school, not ONCE did I get to attend Jersey week....boy did I get the raw end of the stick!?! :rotfl2:

PURE speculation on my part -- why should I be any different? :rotfl2:
I would guess those who have a package already booked would be less likely to get a code. (As others stated, why give it when you are returning anyway? :confused3 )
I would GUESS it may be more likely if past guests did not book, or booked Room Only, or possibly inquired for rates, or requested information. (Such as for DCL or a DVD.)
None of that would guarantee. But just makes more sense than giving codes to guests who are already booked with a package.
Of course all the market targeting comes into play which throws a lot out anyway. :hippie:

Besides the general AP e-mails, the two times I received a postcard in the mail were times I did not have a trip booked.

Well I have to throw a wrench in this senario LOL. I had a package booked for December and I received the post card. My package was booked in early December 2006 and the postcard came in late January. Now it could be that they had made up the mailing list prior to me booking but I think it is more likely I received a card because I didn't book a trip last year. Now they have me for two trips this year. Go figure.

I have to agree with the posters who said Disney is targetting people who have gone to Disney but not in the last few years. We took my FIL in 2004. The ressie was in his name but linked to our address. We have gone back every year since but he has not. We recieved a "code" in his name to our address. I was still allowed to use it because it came to our address. But we did not receive the same offer in our name I believe because we have visited within the last couple of years. I would be interested in knowing if this is true for all the people who recieved this offer?

We go to WDW at least 1 or 2 times a year and we are located in N.Y and we received the postcard w/code, my mom received it and a friend as well.

Anywhere? I beg to differ. I work retail at The Disney Store. There are always sales going on there...and we did have a sale two weeks before Christmas. QUOTE]

I was a DS CM in the mid 1990's. Remember those Aqua blue 'Varsity' sweaters with the 'M' on the pocket? I wore one of those. And then, the costume changed to a dark blue preppie sweater. Ah, the good old days...

I get nostalgic every time I walk into a Disney Store, it isn't quite the same since The Children's Place took over.
