The last two times I have called to to see if I had a code the CM has said "Do Keep Checking Back". Usually they just say NO you don't have a code.

Am I just reading too much into this ? They almost sound encouraging.

Has this happened to anyone else lately ? :confused3

No actually, I got yelled at to STOP calling.I only called every 3 days or so...oh well:goodvibes

I called last night and was also told to keep trying, but I don't read anything into it. I was also told that another batch of 40% discounts were mailed out yesterday (02/05) and to check my mailbox in the next few days, but again I highly doubt there will be any discount code for me. I've never received a discount code so I guess its reasonable for me to be a skeptic.

Last night I called and I was told I had a code and it was for an upgrade to hopper tickets but expired the end of May...It was like pulling teeth to get the CM to tell me about the code. I called back later about switching my resort in Sept. and again asked if there was a code for another time... I was then told NO!!!

LOL...it is all who you talk to...

I'm a little discouraged myself. We are 'regulars' and have NEVER received a discount. Maybe they know we're coming anyway! :confused3

We are going in Jan/Feb 2009, and I asked the CM about codes, and she said to call in the fall, and even then if I don't have one to just keep calling because, and I quote, "It's no problem, people do it all the time." So, like someone said, it's all in who you talk to. Maybe CM's who just say "NO" and act like you don't know anything are brand new??

They usually tell me to keep trying. I haven't really got a rude one yet, but I know they are out there. It makes me hesitant to call sometimes. I usually try once every ten days, but I am really discouraged and really think it's not in the cards for my family.

When I called recently, I was told that I had a code but he couldn't give any details, and that I should call back around Feb 21.

Okay what's this about calling for codes? Can someone explain more about how this works? Sorry for the newbie question, but do you mean that there are codes tied to your reservation at Disney that aren't advertised to you at some point through a mailing or email?

When I made my room only reservation, fyi, the CM also told me NOT to purchase my tickets for the trip at that time -- to wait. I really didn't think anything about it at the time, does that mean I may have a code? We are going in May...

The same thing here about the park hopper code. I was kinda disappointed b/c i am planning on surprising my DGF for our 1 yr anniversary and for her 19th b-day and i am kinda tight so i am hoping for a 40% code!

Exactly! I'm wondering what in the world I have to do to get a code.....just not go?!:headache: JK. Every time I hear about a code like the 40% I call to see if maybe, just maybe, there might be a code attached to my name, and every time the answer is no.:rolleyes1 Oh well, it would be nice.

Tracy, Thanks for that information. When I call, the CM will hesitate and really stress to call back. I think I may have a code that they can't tell me about right now OR it just may be wishful thinking on my part.

I will call after February 21st to see if anything changes. ;)

 Maybe if we all would think positively, we would get the code or discount we want!!! It has worked for me since 2002!!!!

In the past 6 years I've gotten a postcard code, an e-mail code, and an upgrade from POP to an OKW one-bedroom. Plus, in 2004, I also kept checking on here and was one of the first to hear about the release of a public code which allowed us to stay at AKL for $150 a night which included tax for a trip I had been planning. And we planned a spur of the moment weekend trip in Dec. 2005 because I won airline tickets and got All Star Music for $66 a night including tax.

Just think about where you want to stay, that you want a good deal, and then let it go and think positively....soon enough, that code or discount will become available to you. Those of you who are saying that you won't get the code and you're a regular and still don't get any codes, will never get anything because that is what you're asking for. Reverse the negative and see what happens! :thumbsup2

I called and then my dh called yesterday afternoon and we both got nice CM's and they said to keep checking. The CM that my dh got even checked a few of our old adresses (we've moved a few times). No codes, but they were nice.

All you people waiting for codes ----repeat after me.....

I do, :wizard: I do, :wizard: I do,:wizard: believe in CODES :wizard:

Honestly, I really do believe that I will get some kind of code.
