CM said EMH pm hours don't change....

I talked to a CM today that said EMH pm hours don't change from month to month. She said MK was Mon., AK Tues., Epcot Thurs. and no extra hours for MGM.

A previous post said they were at MK for EMH eve. on Wed. and did have EMH for MGM. I know CM's don't always know whats going on, so I thougt I'd post.

We'll be there 9/10 for 8 nights. Trying to book our fabulous free dining ressies for the parks with late hours. Does anyone know the scoop on this?

"Magic Kingdom Extra Magic Hours switched around for summer

The Magic Kingdom Extra Magic Hours (EMH) will swap mornings and evenings in July. Currently Wednesday evening and Friday morning, the hours will switch to Wednesday morning and Friday evening beginning with an evening EMH on Friday, July 1. Monday evenings will also be added beginning July 11, giving the park one EMH morning and two EMH evenings per week. The schedule change will run through evening EMH hours on Friday, August 19, and the regular schedule resumes the evening of Wednesday, August 24."

I can assure you that they do change. Usually it's just park hours that have changed (4 times this past month!) but EMH's did change in June, on seemingly random dates.

It is, however, the first time I've seen EMH's change after they had already been annouced.

Thanks for posting this. I just went back to www.disney.com and just as you said, the MK EMH for July have changed.

The addition of the second EMH isn't going to help (and i'd really hate to be there on the friday night EMH - yikes).

The EMH days don't change!

I think the CM the OP spoke to needs to spend some time on the DIS boards! Everything at Disney is subject to change WITHOUT NOTICE! I'm not putting much faith in the regular EMH schedule being in effect in October, so I am planning my days so they will work whether there are extra hours in that park that day or not.

Disney seems quite fond of juggling things around just as people are getting their plans in place.

Disney changed them for the summer and has had the changes posted on their EMH site for some time now. The changes were exactly as the CM stated. They work better for me, so I'm just as happy. I'm thinking the more days they have EMH, the less crowded they will be.

CM's are funny people, aren't they?! I feel bad for them, it seems they are the last to know just about everything disney. Shame on Disney.

We were there for 2 weeks in Feb and the EMH schedules were different each week.

Thanks for the info on EMH changes posted on Mouseplanet, and for the post with the MGM EMH pm on Sunday's. MGM is our FAVORITE park! Staying at BC for the first time. As I've seen in previous posts, if they change the EMH hours again before we arrive, who cares, we'll have fun no matter what. 88 days and counting....

I arrived at WDW on Sunday, May 8, Mothers Day. We enjoyed EMH at MGM that night, and I have a PhotoPass pic with our EMH bracelets visible to prove it (I just can't figure out how to post it!!! HELP!).

The definetly do change. Just ask the folks who thought they were all set for this month. Then special events like MNSSHP & MVMCP are going to most likely throw a wrench into the schedule as well.

Sorry, not a hand model, but I've always wanted to pretend to be an architect. I pretended to be a marine biologist once, but it got ugly. The sea was angry that day my friend, like an old man trying to send back soup at a deli....

Sometimes the very people who SHOULD know, in fact do not. Like the woman at the desk of the eye dr. yesterday who strongly insisted that I needed a referral............she had a very embarrassed look on her face after she spoke to the office mngr. and found out that I was correct, I did not need one.

Anyway, for those of us trying to plan Sept trips, is it safe to assume that the EMH schedule for the very end of Aug will continue through Sept????????????
Frustrated, like others, trying to plan w/o having much needed info such as this.

I would THINK that EMH would remain the same for the end of August through the end of September. The first MNSSHP is scheduled for Sept. 30, which is a Friday so that shouldn't cause too much havoc.

It is frustrating trying to plan around all of the schedule changes. I am trying to plan in such a way that it won't matter what the EMH nights are but I am sure that won't be as effective as I want it to be!
