CM said August 22 for AP codes

My brother called today to make a reservation at the poly and got talking to the CM and she said to hold out b/c the AP codes should be out Aug.22 Why she would know and every other CM has no idea when is beyond me but thought I would share this with everyone. I guess we have to wait and see.

I too was wondering when your brother was inquiring about. I'm also going in December and would love to get a better rate so I can change to the Poly.

This waiting is driving me nuts! The last 2 years I had discounted rooms booked by now for December in 2001 and October 2002.

So much for Disney wanting people to plan vacations further ahead.

Any hope is appreciated...especially since the frustration con't to mount. I made my reservations at the Poly without an AP discount months ago. This was done at the recommendation of the CRO CM. She said I could apply the discount once released. Well, like many, I'm still waiting for it. I don't dare make any airline reservations until I learn if I'm going to get one.

Bummer! We leave 8/23 to check in 8/24, with a 5 day cancellation policy. AP rates coming out 2 days before we check in wont help us any.

I've heard all different things from CM's each time I call. On Sunday, a CM said it could be two days...last week another one said to call the middle of this week. And then I kept reading all the different things CM's were saying to people who post on this board. I had the Poly booked and was paying AAA rate - which was still expensive. Today, I changed my ressie to Yacht Club. It is my favorite resort, it is slightly less than the Poly, and I didn't to try a new resort at such a high price. I am going with the one I love! It is $273/night with tax for a standard room. The CM said I could change it if AP rates came out. However, the high price of the resort is offset by the great bargain I got on air tix. Roundtrip non-stop from Manchester, NH to Orlando (with great times) was only $110 (8/28/03 - 9/2/03).

I hope there are AP rates for October-I really don't want to pay rack rate for a Poly concierge LV stay!

I'm going to keep my fingers crossed. Cause I canceled my reservation till I can book with AP rates. If they don't come out then we'll stay off-site and maybe just go to IOA.

I really don't think the cm's know. How many said August 3rd. What I don't understand is why they were released last week briefly and then pulled back. If it was a system problem surely it would be fixed by now.

I just got an e-mail from WDW, I got all excited that it was a special rate. It was about Mission Space.

I was someone who spoke to a CM a couple of weeks ago who had said August 3. I don't think any of them know at this point and am beginning to believe the ones who are giving dates are just giving them to shut us up.

I don't rate to get the special rates, just the Mission Space website? sigh!

LOL! I did the same with the mission space email this morning.
Thanks for the idea Pugsley, that is a good one. Unfortuantely we are traveling with another family and we are driving down, leaving early Saturday morning. My DH and the other family have to work on Friday. We actually do have a decent rate with DC discount so I really shouldnt complain, but with the excitement of having our first AP's I was hoping to do a little better.
Well, at least I got the AP rate at the Swan for Christmas.

I also checked with them today - no discount rates! They seem to have plenty of availability at the resorts when we're planning to go (Dec 6-12) so why are they waiting to release the codes??
