i put a deposit for a stay in april and the cm told me to go ahead and put a deposit of $200. which i did but since i am leery of finding decent airfare for that week i was hesitant. the cm told me not to worry because as long as i cancel 45 days prior i will receive a 100% refund for my deposit. she than went on to convince me of purchasing trip insurance. but i told her if i don't end up finding good airfare i will lose the trip insurance money paid. and she told me no, as long as i cancel 45 days prior, i will get everything back, trip insurance,too. so i figured what do i have to lose so i booked the trip insurance.
now today i received my statement in the mail from disney stating the balance due 45 days prior. but on the back is alot of cancellation fees and such and stating that trip insurance is non refundable 14 days after booking. so i call disney and encounter a rude cm who is not very helpful. i'm trying to clarify if i do have to change my dates will the trip insurance follow me or would i have to repurchase it. she snaps at me hold on and comes back on the phone saying well today is the 14th day after booking and we aren;t supposed to but we took off the trip insurance. i said i was only calling to clarify it not cancel it. i asked if i did change my dates would the trip insurance follow that package and she told me yes it will. so i said ok than i want to keep it. she tells me nope once its cancelled its cancelled. i think i should call back and cancel the whole package and get my deposit back and book through a ta who wants to listen and explain reservation details....
