So I tried the whole CM Consultant thing and I just don't have the time between working full time, going to school and now prepping for training and showing the puppy.

I stocked up on a whole bunch of stuff that I need for myself and I still won't activate after my 3 months so I'm just going to let it lapse as I'm happy with my consultant.

Anyway, I have a ton of stuff that I got in my Consultant kit that I don't need and won't use. This includes a 12x12 album, 12-inch trimmer, personal trimmer and a few other things. I would like to sell them but don't know the best method to do that.

How would you sell these? I don't intend to sell them as a CM rep. but I would like to get something close to their value. I'm just at a loss for where to start.

I have seen CM stuff go for good prices on Ebay. I have bought CM items from Ebay as well!

Or Craigslist might be a good alternative. Good luck!

WARNING! It is against CM's P&P for a CMC or former CMC to sell on eBay. I think selling at a garage sale, etc. is frown upon, but selling on eBay is a huge violation. Just sayin'.

I'd suggest checking with your unit to see if anyone is willing to buy the items from you or trade them for something they have in stock.

I remembed about the ebay policy and I don't want to deal with the hassle anyway.

I checked with my unit and they all tell me I should keep them "to use for myself or give as gifts." I don't need or want them and very few of my friends scrap CM so I'm stuck if I don't sell them. I was just hoping for some ideas.

Does anyone in your area do all day crops? The ones I've been to usually have vendors. Maybe you could try to sell it there. There is a ton of CM stuff on ebay so I don't know how people are getting it if they are not consultants or how they are pulling it off if they are.

Good ideas, I have some things from a variety of sources that I need to ditch so I can move on to digital scrapbooking. I heard that a local scrapbook store called Scrapbook Warehouse has a "garage sale" once a month where you can rent a table for $10 and sell all the scrapbook supplies you don't want anymore. If that doesn't work, I might try e-bay or craigs list.

ColeenG, what is the DIS Scrap BAN Wagon?

ColeenG, what is the DIS Scrap BAN Wagon?

The scrap ban wagon is a thread here on the Dis. It's really a support group for those of us who can't seem to stop spending money on scrap booking supplies.

Good luck selling your stuff. I'm trying to avoid getting in to digital just because I have so much paper and paper tools. I'm totally addicted to the Cricut.

ColeenG, what is the DIS Scrap BAN Wagon?

The BAN Wagon was my pathetic attempt to rein in my ridiculous overspending on scrap stuff (as in I stopped adding when I hit $2500 in receipts last year.) I knew I could never do it alone so I started a thread here for moral support. I know some of us haven't been as lucky at reducing but I have cut my spending by leaps and bounds!

You are welcome to join up if you like. The more the merrier!

Thanks for the invitation, sounds like a great group to join! I will look it up.

Just an idea.......could you "give" the CM stuff to a close friend/relative? Of course, that person could then sell it on ebay. And of course this good friend would then want to give you a gift in return (like some cash?)
Kris

That's a good idea, Kris. I've fortunately been able to sell most of it to scrap friends so I'm doing OK. I really only have a couple of things left.

I'll remember that if I get desperate.
