CM missing from Wonder 03/22/11??

Hi Goofy's girl!

I have been involved in past Martime investigations...........and can note the following:


1. There are a number of agencies and Martime authorities investigating

2. The family has very likely been given alot more information then the public and news rumors. This is a private matter for them, not the Diz boards or public!

3.Take all news reports, self serving martime internet boards, etc, with a grain of salt, they often do not have the correct information, and present what facts they have in a self serving, *sensational* way.

4. The final reports will take some time (weeks or even months) to come out in the final form, but I would guess there will be preliamonary reports before then.

Simply the facts will come out in time.

I do have a thought, maybe as Diz board members we could pick a time and date to show a candle in our home windows, maybe for a hour, to show support for the family?

I was wondering the same thing but, I think Brent is from Australia and her aunt (I believe that's who she is) from the UK.

When there is a tragedy at a location, people show up with flowers and teddy bears, condolences and prayers, poems and notes of love and good thoughts. They don't show up with letters of conspiracy, words of doubt or theories of cover-up or danger.

This thread started out as a place to post your prayers, sympathetic thoughts and feelings. It should not be for soapbox bantering about what may or may not have happened. And for goodness sake, STOP speculating that there is a cover up!

I have a 24-year-old daughter and the pain these people must be going through is unimaginable! Praying that they get closure, whether we ever find out the nitty gritty details or not!

With the utmost respect, there are probably many many thousands of people with the surname Davies in the World, and given that she is from the UK, and Brent is from Australia, I would imagine it to be incredibly unlikely.

Does anyone know where the Wonder was yesterday, Tuesday, 03/22/11?

A friend of mine's sister in law is on the Wonder now and text my friend yesterday saying a CM was missing. They paged her 3 times and then announced they would be searching all cabins. She doesn't know anything else and didn't know if they were in port or at sea. Does anyone know anything more?

In defense of those who are fairly new to this thread and have not taken the time to read all of the posts, this thread actually was NOT started to offer condolences, prayers, positive thoughts. It was started as a question to see if anyone knew if the Wonder was docked on 3/22 and if anyone knew any information. Anyone coming in late is possibly posting with that in mind.

Those who have been reading along since the beginning (and I have) should be aware of the requests to turn it into a condolence, prayer, positive vibes thread. It would be helpful if we all tried to post with that spirit in mind.

My thoughts have been on this situation for many days. We were scheduled to sail last week and cancelled to spend our spring break with my father who was recently placed on hospice. I can't imagine the pain and heartache her family is living with. It is my prayer that they will be able to get the answers they need to start the healing process.

I think this is a great idea also.

We just had a childhood friend of my son's die in Afghanistan. The community support was very uplifting. We still have our flag out in memoriam.

Give a date and time and I'm sure all our DISers would love to participate.

Just a question-if there was no foul play, does that mean the possibility she may have gone overboard? I had always assumed there were security cameras all over the ship, if so would the cameras not have shown this?

So the news is unfolding, my heart is breaking for this family. Any type of organized support or memorium is a great idea with me also. They need all the prayers and thoughts that everyone can give them now.
Many disers were touched by this young woman in some way, it might have been an extra smile for your child, maybe a reassuring pat on the back, or maybe just the fact that she was a magical part of your vacation.
Please take a moment and wish for peace for this family.

There seems to be some interest in a group organized support for the family.

I would suggest a candle in the window, each time zone burning a candle in a window at home..............say Sunday........800 pm for a hour?

Any other ideas...............different date or time?
