Hi all!:wave2:

I live in northern Utah and I go to Disneyland once every year to two years and I have been lurking these boards for a few months now. I love how helpful you all are and I was hoping if you could answer a small question for me. If not, it's no big deal.

I am planning a trip down to Disneyland the first week of August with my younger sister and we are staying there for three days. We already have everything taken care of: our hotel has been booked, our tickets are on the way (courtesy of our cousin who works for Disney) and meal arrangements have been made.

We are going to be driving down to Anaheim, which is a 10 hour drive from where I live. I am an early bird and I estimate we are going to be there around 2-3 pm in the afternoon. I have a friend of a friend who works at Disneyland and is super nice and I know wouldn't mind letting us into Disneyland the day we arrive. With time to waste after arriving on that first day before we start our three day adventure the next day, I would love to go into Disneyland and get a "head start." I know there are blackout dates restricting when a CM can sign someone in, but I don't know what those dates are. Before I contact him (he can be troublesome to get a hold of at times), I just want to know if that day is a blackout day. We are going to be there Aug 2-6.

On a side note, my cousin lives in Seattle and works for Disney up there and not in California. As well, I am a college student so this trip is already stretching me, hence why I ask about my CM friend and the blackout dates.

Welcome to the boards.

I don't know when the CM sign in days are blocked out.

But I might suggest asking this question on the college board.

It won't nessecarily get you a response from somebody who is a CP at DLR, but somebody in WDW may give you some direction at the least.

Otherwise good luck getting in contact with your CM friend.

I though of another idea. Find a group for CM's on facebook and ask the question there.

Main Entrance Passes will be blocked at Disneyland Park for the entire duration of your visit. However, they will be valid for entry to Disney California Adventure Park.

Thanks for all of your responses! Perhaps I will just end up going to DCA for the rest of the day on Aug 2 when we get in. Now just the matter getting in touch with my friend.
