CM getting guests in the park

The reality is that many people, adult or child, treat something differently when it's given to them for free rather than if they paid out of their own pockets - I think that's the reasoning behind it. If Disney has a rule, it's because someone along the line abused the privilege before it was a rule. I've seen lots of adult bad behavior over the years at WDW.

Do the CPs have the same perk? I remember getting white guest passes that said not for sale on them as a CP but I can't remember if I had to be there or not because I used them with my boyfriend and I was with him anyways.

CPs get 3 guest passes (hard tickets) they can use 6 times during their program. They have to take you through the gate using their maingate pass and are supposed to remain with you all day unless you are immediate family, then they could leave early and you could stay.

Yes they did miss something. Please show me where I said 'hang out with 30 year olds"

Regardless of whether people in the party are 30 or 50, your question has been answered. The rule is that the CM must stay with the party, excepting immediate family and you yourself said "Only kids would be rude enough not to adhere to rules." Sorry if it's not the answer you wanted.

I don't think anyone who has responded to your questions has missed anything. It is pretty clear from your questions that three grown adults at least one of whom is around 50 years old want to use a retired 80 year old Cast member to get them into the park(s) for free. One of the three guests is implying that all three are model citizens who would never do anything wrong. The three guests then want to ditch the 80 year old retired CM once they gain entrance to the park and all go off to do their own thing. There doesn't appear to be any intention of the 3 guest to have any care or concern for the 80 year old retired CM other than to use said 80 year old to get into the parks for free.

Maybe the CM is a retired CM pushing 80 and doesn't want to hang out with someone 30 years younger.

this to me sounds like you and your friends are 30 years younger than the CM who is your host. It sounds to me that you and your friends have talked an elderly CM whom you are not friends with into taking you into the park for free. You have now got the hump because everyone who has replied to the thread has told you that it is against Disney rules and disrespectful to the CM to ditch them once you are in the park.

Why is everyone in this thread "assuming" that the free people are the ones who want to (as you say) "ditch" the CM? The post clearly states that the CM wishes not to hang out with someone 30 years younger. And I'm not in my 50's. I'm mid 60's and I'm not one of the freebies. I have my own AP.

Partly this.

I saw something at Epcot last trip that looked like a CM getting a couple through the turnstiles they didn't know personally. Their conversation was one you would have with someone you didn't know.

Also at some point the couple said "Ok so we have to meet you back here at the end of the day?" and the CM looked like they were dressed for work in some sort of backstage maintenance role.
Yes, I'd also imagine that the rule is to keep CMs from profiting from getting other people into the parks.

then that CM should not bring people into the park for free if they do not wish to hang out with them. These CM guest passes are for CMs to bring their family and friends to the parks. It is an abuse and violation of Disney rules and its people like that who abuse the system that cause Disney to remove CM privileges and benefits.

Bottom line is, if you are a guest of a CM and enter the park for free, you must stay with that CM for the duration of your time in the park. If you dont like the rules, just PAY for a ticket to the park like everyone else!

You missed part of what I wrote
I do not think any one has missed what you wrote It looks like you meet a CM and are using them to get you in. I think if this is the case then you should feel bad CMs can get family and friends in for free and I do not think you are either of them to this CM because if you were then you would have no problem staying with them. if you think about the average family going one child might want to do something another dose not dose the family split up more then likely no they simply do something one person wants then it is the next person and all goes

and to prove immediate family you must....? (this would be another question please)

After saying only kids would be rude enough to break the rules, you now ask how Disney would know if the people are family or not. Are they family? If they are, then the question is pointless because your party will be able to leave the 80yo and do their own thing. If they are not family, then you are asking why?

If you show up at a new park without the CM (once they've already gotten you into a different park) you'll be asked how you know that CM. Honestly, if you want to lie and say you're immediate family when you're not, you might get away with it. Or you might be told, nope, don't believe you, come back with the CM with you. It depends who is on the entrance.

You're being so picky about this, I'm guessing you're trying to get around the system somehow. I know you said you weren't the person trying to get in for free, but bear in mind if anything gets screwed up and rules aren't followed, it's the CM who could potentially lose their job.

From the sheet of paper that came with my main gate and guest passes:

"After the initial entry into an eligible Disney theme park, the following guests who are family members of the Employee or the Employee's spouse/domestic partner and are at least 14 years of age are able to enjoy the parks unaccompanied by the Employee or the Employee's spouse/domestic partner: Dependents, Parents/legal guardians, Mothers/Fathers-in-law, Grandparents and grandchildren, Brothers and/or brothers-in-law, Sisters and/or sisters-in-law, Aunts and uncles, Nieces and nephews, First cousins. Pass Holders MUST accompany any other Guests throughout their ENTIRE visit, unless the guests are accompanied by a family member of the Pass Holder."

The misuse of main gate and/or guest passes can be grounds for termination.

You are talking about kids here right? Only kids would be rude enough not to adhere to rules. Im talking bonafide adults here. Let me ask you something else... You to tell me that the guests have to force the CM to be at 3 different locations at a park at the same time? If 1 guest wants to do something the other 2 don't want because each of the other 2 want to do something else how could the CM be in 3 places at once? Maybe the CM is a retired CM pushing 80 and doesn't want to hang out with someone 30 years younger.
Sadly, not everyone is always on their best behavior...some people can be difficult, argumentative, don't want to follow park rules. That's why the CM ticket rules are in place. A free ticket is a nice benefit, but it does have some specific restrictions.

The great thing is that if the free ticket is too restrictive, then one always has the option of purchasing their own ticket.

One year i forgot our park tickets at home. Dw and i were walking towards epcot from boardwalk and as we were talking about the tickets a couple overheard us and said we could anter as her guest.

The 4 of us entered the park, she told us not to say anything as we entered. We thanked her and went our seperate ways. That realy made our day...
It wa a PH so we hopped to MK, called daughter who gave us the numbers on the tickets and had new onees by the end of the day.

The next year I left my wallet in our scanner. (To send to garden grocer for wine dekivery) I realized it when we got to the airport check in.. wife still gives me crap for thhat one.
