Hi gang,
So we are planning a large family trip for early 2010 (I know, we're sick). DW and I haven't had great experiences with character dinners (LTT in MK and Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland).

I wanted to check with the experts to find out about Chef Mickey's for dinner. How is the food? How are the character interactions? Is it too loud to have a good time?

It will most likely be 6-8 adults, two 4 year old girls, a 2 year old boy and 1 year old girl.

So what are your thoughts? Try for dinner or stick to breakfast?

I have had one bad dinner experience and two great morning experiences.

The food for dinner is what I'd expect from Golden Corral. Fine food, nothing more.

The food for breakfast is, well, it's breakfast. Not much you can do to mess up breakfast.

The characters, for us, were MUCH better for breakfast both times. Dinner was mostly shake hand/hug, picture, move on.

Breakfast the characters sat with us, played with us, and were fantastic.

(Both breakfasts and dinners were the first available seatings)

We ate at CM for both dinner and breakfast this year. It was our first time eating there. We thought both were good. The character interaction was also very nice. DD loved being able to do the napkin wave thing they did.
