CM (and my) mistake when making ADRs

I called this morning to make all of our ADRs for our trip Sept 28-Oct 5. The CM on the phone made all of our ADRs and we were able to get everything we wanted. However, I decided to make a small change and was informed that my 180 days is not until tomorrow! The CM just a minute ago told me that all my ADRs might be canceled. I know it is only one day, but about 3 or 4 of the ones I made had very limited availability. I'll be calling back again tomorrow morning to make sure they are not canceled. I wish the CM this morning had told me I was a day off before I spent 30 minutes on the phone with him this morning and then informing DD that we get to eat inside the castle BEFORE the park even opens.

I was not trying to get around the system at all. I'm still confused as my countdown on the DVC member homepage states 180 days until vacation at AKV

I'm sure your ADRs will still be there in the morning -- just call early (again) in case they're not. Be sure to let us know how it goes. Good luck to you!

This same exact thing happened to me. I had the most helpful CM and got all the times and places I wanted, to say the least I was excited!! Decided later in the day to call and add an ADR and was told that I was a day early and that I would need to call back at 7am the next morning and I should be able to get everything that I wanted. When I explained that I already had most of my ADR's and the times I wanted, I was informed that when the computer updated for the night it would probably *kick out* all of my ADR's because they were made a day early. I was NOT Happy!! However, when I called the next morning, everything was still in the computer and I did not have to update my info. Here's wishing you the same good luck and pixie dust that I received with my early ADR's.

Grr. Something similar almost happened to me. I called today, without my confirmation number, and said I wanted to make reservations starting with September 27. The Cast Member told me the same thing - that without my confirmation number, the computer would cancel everything. She then very kindly (where's that sarcasm smily) transferred me to room reservations to get the number. I hung up after ten minutes on hold, called back, got a different CM and quickly explained that I wanted to start with 9/27 and work backwards - hadda get that CG reservation timed for Wishes .

It's 180 days to check in. Then, you can book 10 days beyond that.

This scares me. What if you hadn't called back? Does this mean I should call and confirm my ADRs?

If you think you made them before you were officially allowed to, I would call back since the 2nd CM yesterday said they might be canceled. However, the CM this morning said that since there was a ressie # attached to them, they would not have been canceled. Who knows

I got to make my ADRS 2 days early and I called to confirm and they were all there...so I don't know how true this really is that the computer "spits" them out, especially since we have confirmation numbers.

I would be so mad if they cancelled them - if they let you make them I would say they had to honor them. Glad to hear they didn't!

I got the most spectacular CM I have ever talked to over the phone. I called at my 180 days and booked up until the +10 like I though I could. Well we're going for 14 so I decided to keep the harder ones to get toward the end so that I could be one of the first to get it. Just for the helll of it, she checked at my 11-14 day restaurants and the first two were open for ressies!!! I was very excited because that saved me two days of waking up at 4 AM (Pacific Time) to get them. I have 6:00PM Le Cellier because of that! I was stoked!



THEN, with my luck as I was trying to book an 8:15PM California Grill for a 10PM Wishes, she was the craziest and angriest person I met and told me I wasn't at my 180! I said, yes I was! Because I really was. I called back right after I hung up and got it!

I'm glad some of you guys have booked a bit early and got to keep your ADRs... makes me feel a bit better

I got to book early for a few hard to get ones and I was really worried after reading this thread - I didn't want to call as I read the more the CMs go into your ADRs the more room there is for human error.

We have ADR Confirmation Numbers for all ADRs, so I guess we're ok!
