Club Villain?

Ok, but on that same line of thinking, general ticket prices are through the roof, yet people have gone, said it was worth it, and keep paying, but I bet they still feel the price tag is high.

I was going to do this event, but $129 per person for a 2 hour event was just a hard pill to swallow.
It was an AMAZING event though. I have paid more per ticket for traveling Broadway shows and concerts and I feel like the level of entertainment was close to that, plus this includes food and alcohol.

I've heard nothing but positive reviews, honestly. Can you go a bit more into detail as to what can be expected? I read an in-depth review somewhere else, but I'd like to hear your experience. I really want to experience this because I think it's something I would enjoy and if it was just me, I'd pay the price. However, when I have to pay for 4 people, it makes me cringe.

To each their own. I haven't done the event. I know select nights they have offered an AP or DVC discount which brings it down to $99.

Just spent an evening at Club Villain. The setting and music were well done. Pictures with each villain were individually scheduled, which resulted in no lines. The only problem was the food. I recommend that you eat before you arrive. The drinks were fine. The food was awful. I have attended several Disney dessert parties and special events. All have offered a variety of dishes and desserts that I enjoyed. The food provided at this event lacked taste and variety. It was not what I would expect from Disney.

I think it will depend on your taste buds. We loved the food and felt it was better than most buffet restaurants at Disney. It's all based on the NOLA theme so the flavors may not appeal to some but it had plenty of flavor. I get that some may not enjoy that type of food but it was far from awful.

Am I the only one who thinks this event is a tad overpriced?

I think it's a great value when you consider what you pay elsewhere on property:
- Buffet Dinner $60
- Dessert Party $70 but with table/chairs and indoors
- Open Bar with mix drinks, beer, wine WAY WAY better than any dessert party we went to where drinks were not drinkable ..... depending by at Disney drink prices that was easily $60 value for me
- Show
- Dancing
- 4 Excellent character meets

Even just the dinner and dessert buffets part equal the cost.

When we went first time it was $99 and the first thing I said at the end was they severely underpriced this event compared to dessert parties.

Hmm, did not see any of those offered for December. I'll look again. Still hits hard a bit, but it's more palatable.

I was not aware this was a full dinner buffet. That certainly does help explain the price tag.

Without giving too much away:
The entertainment is like a very good cabaret floor show. Singing, dancing, ect. They got the crowd involved which I appreciated. Every seat in the house is a great seat. The entertainment takes place int he center of the room with tables around it. The character interaction was top notch, with characters you cannot usually meet anywhere else, and there was minimal to no waiting. We really enjoyed the food, so much so that my DD and DH still talk about the Gumbo and how good it was. The themed desserts were some of the best mass produced desserts I have experienced at Disney. Everything was plentiful and fresh including the drinks, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I am a cocktail girl though. DH said the beer selection was decent. We are both from places where Mardi Gras is a big deal so the second line parade at the end was a lot of fun. It was very much like a New Orleans wedding reception for me, which if you have never been to one is one great big, over the top party.

All you can eat - am sure it can vary - but I would take it over most Disney dinner buffets:

A couple of tables of a wide variety of mini desserts!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!! Now that I know this is a place where the family can have dinner while being entertained that certainly puts it back on my "must-do" list. We already did the dessert party for Xmas day, so maybe I will work this in on another day.

I was really hoping that the annual pass discount would apply to our date but it doesn't. We didn't get to have our annual October trip for mnnshp so I don't mind paying a little more for Club Villain, especially since it is for my daughter's birthday. Normally $258 for 2 people for a short event would be a definite NO! That would cover 2 park tickets for all day plus a quick service meal!

I wasn't aware either that it included a full main buffet either, i thought it was just deserts. Makes it sound like a great price now

There were AP discounts during last winter's run and again in September, but no discounts since the beginning of October.

For those of you who have been to CV, are there photopass photographers or do you have to take your own pictures?

No discounts for our date either, but it's Xmas eve, so no surprise there. It's $521 for 4 people to go to this event. Ouch. I talked to the family and they all decided they wanted to do it since we'd spend around $150-$200 on a sit down Xmas dinner. They figured this was a better choice.

Can someone give me a short synopsis of what it is?
Can't play it at work.
