Kudos to the Team on today's podcast with their great review of Club Villain! If I was going to be in WDW this Spring, I think I would spring for a ticket to do this. While I'm not jaded about WDW's hard ticket events, I am incredibly skeptical. I do very few and don't automatically hand over my cash trusting I will receive value for my dollar. I have been to enough Food & Wines to know that there are too many WDW hard ticket events on offer that are pure & simple cash grabs. No argument there. To date, I have done 3 hard tickets or extra cost tours including Wild Africa Trek at AK (in the first month it was offered so great rate), Behind the Seeds at Epcot (inexpensive) and 1 MNSSHP. I have also done a couple of the $10 F&W deminars but given the price point on those and the limited time commitment, they don't really make the cut. Generally, I believe I pay enough for my WDW vacation including park admission without the need to throw more money at the Mouse. However, this looked worthwhile. Particularly in comparison with something like Trader Sams. I'm a fan of Sams but when I go, I easily spend $30 on 1 drink (with souvenir glass) + tip. No food. At Club Villain, I could enjoy a couple of specialty themed drinks, decent food & entertainment. I agree with Steve completely when he suggested that this should be a regular event held at Atlantic Dance Hall. What a wonderful use of that tired old venue. And given all the nearby guests at Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach Club, (plus Swan & Dolphin) they would practically have a captive audience. I truly hope the powers that be at WDW watch the podcast and/or follow the Boards and this becomes a reality. ps happy for Pete that the Voodoo Sticky Pig Wings were very good after all.
