Review and some good pictures. Only one of the dinner food, am really interested to see more of those.

Thanks so much! I did have a few other pictures of the food on the buffet that I have in my flickr album. Here's the link: https://www.flickr.com/photos/serenalyn/albums/72157663514968902/with/24381520101/
I guess I was most excited about the drinks and desserts since I took tons of those, lol!

Looks like the Club Villain ends after park closing...are there still buses to resorts available?
They keep all the transport open with lots of CMs outside helping you get where you need to go.

Sounds like it is awesome...figures they're cancelling it! Love the Queen of Hearts as a face character!!!
Me too! She was my favorite!

Same here. booked for 2/6 for 2 of us and now wish I had booked for 4!!! I am checking everyday looking for 2 more tix! It looks like a great party!
Here's a tip for finding tickets- search one person at a time. There are single tickets available more often than two or more. Book them separately, then call Disney Dining and they can combine your party into one group for seating. Also- keep in mind that people cancel the night before to avoid charges so looking for tickets at say, 11pm the night before you want to go can sometimes work. Good luck! Also- I will be there on the 6th as well- come say hi to me! :)

I've been stalking for 2 tickets for the same day. I'm hoping something becomes available.
See my comment above regarding finding tickets. :)

Just wanted to add- if you didn't read my review- it's not the most kid-friendly vibe at this party. I don't want to discourage you from bringing your small children but I would definitely think hard about it. This event was so different from anything else I've been to at Disney. I have a replay of my periscope showing one of the song and dance performances. They were amazing! Seriously cool. But very sexy style dancing- I wouldn't say it's not family friendly but more adult for sure. Everyone watching it live with me was like, "This is Disney?" lol...The villains didn't cater to the children- were more interactive with the adults really...I suppose they are careful of not spooking any of them. One family had a small baby, maybe one year old- she kept trying to get Maleficent to wave to her and she just sort of looked down her nose at her with a puzzling face and then did a little shooing motion with her hands. It was actually pretty funny and totally in character for Maleficent, but I wondered how the parent felt about that. Most of the under 10 kids just danced on the dance floor during most the party.

Again, totally each person's preference...just want to make sure you guys know what the vibe will be before you pay hundreds of dollars to bring the whole family. I highly recommend going- I've been to a ton of Disney events and this was by FAR the most exclusive and posh one I've been to. It feels like a private VIP party. And for 100 bucks I think it should. :)

@Serena {LivingByDisney} do you think a young teen will enjoy it? I have a 12 year old that is fairly mature for her age and acts/ interacts mor like 13-14. She is a dancer and we take her to Broadway caliber shows.

Yes I think she would love it. I also have a 12 year old daughter who really wants to go too. She was quite jealous I got to go cover it. :) I think 10 and up will have a great time. Under that and it'd depend on the kid.

THANK YOU! You had some of the best pictures and review covered much. We had gone there in December to check out the room trying to figure it out. I was able to look behind the curtains and see the Queen of Hearts spot so we figured they had some sort of organized M&G - huge plus they followed that plan. So does anyone get to meet with Dr. Facilier? And no worries about pics ......... I will be in the drink line as soon as they let me, probably going to try at least three (not a Disney version sangria person).

My impression from Disney promo was that this was going to be geared to adults - and am very happy about that. It's like our own adult character meal. A show is not going to work if you don't keep to to the evil side and so glad characters stayed IN character. Malificent isn't going to like babies so her response was on point. Awesome.

Sorry to reply to you again but just saw that my friend Corinne from Inside the Magic got some more pictures of the food for ya :) : http://www.**************.net/2016/...a-rocking-party-at-disneys-hollywood-studios/

Thank you!!!

Ughh. This thread is killing me! I had this reserved for March 12th, only to have it taken away. And it sounds amazing!! Sooo bummed DD14 and I have to miss out.

I'm going on 2/6 as well, maybe I will see you there.

We would love to meet up with you! It's so much fun to meet people from the Dis-boards! It will just be my nephew and myself and we are REALLY excited to meet the characters and Club Villain just sounds like a lot of fun! So glad I got the reservation as soon they opened!

I think it would make sense that this could come back for Halloween. It was (I think) two years ago now that they debuted the Villains Soiree in place of the quick meet and greets in front of the castle after the shows during Not So Scary. And that whole thing ran only one season. I don't think you could meet Maleficent at all this past Halloween.

I feel like a lot of people were upset about the soiree because it was an expensive ticket ON TOP of already needing an event ticket for the Halloween party and there was not much detail about what exactly was going to happen. Plus I think tickets sold out long before any of the actual events and you could then only meet Maleficent this way (which I don't think many people knew).

Having this Club Villain this early in the year lets them build up hype by showing people what to expect if they were to add this during Halloween. They were also filming the first night, so it's possible they could use the footage as a promo video for Halloween. At least I hope they bring it back for Halloween anyway.

I wouldn't even mind it being at HS if the party is still as good as it looks.

actually this sounds even better than the Soiree!

That would be great! I'm also excited about meeting the characters. That's why I really did this. To met some villains who are rarely seen, I am so excited about it. To good to pass up and yes meeting people from Dis-Boards is exciting I totally agree. I have two weeks to go to I leave!!! So psyched and excited.

That's part of why I'm making my guess. The Soiree seemed a little thrown together at the last minute. The thrones for this event alone blow that out of the water. And then that giant crystal covered poison apple?! Some serious time and effort went into this.

Me too! Honestly, it's making me pretty bitter that they let us book it and then changed their minds (for some unknown reason). This was going to be a special treat for DD's 16th birthday trip, and she was beyond thrilled when I told her we were going to go. She was sooooo disappointed when I told her they canceled on us -- she actually teared up. I was really disappointed in Disney for this one....

We are there that night too, and are up for meeting other dis folks!

Seems silly to have gone through the trouble of hiring and training the villains for literally a handful of shows. If this was cancelled for the Star Wars dessert party, that seems kind of sad. I'm hoping they decided it fits better with the Fall lineup, and will bring it back then.

Disappointing to hear, that Disney Villians were ousted for Star Wars.. I'm a huge villian fan, but have NEVER seen a single SW movie. Bummer.

Certainly does seem kind of strange for Disney to invest the kind of time, money and resources...conducting auditions and creating a show, rehearsing, set design, props, creating menus, ect. All of this for just several shows?! Just doesn't make sense!

Even stranger to sell tix for the event for evenings in March and then canceling those! Also the Club Villain is VERY similar to show held at Four Seasons. Just sayn.....
