Just a couple of quickie questions.

DW and I are going on the Scuba excursion while at St. Thomas with a friend of ours. Our friend's wife has offered to take our DDs (7y/o) with her on the Atlantis Sub excursion. Since we will be off the ship, will they allow our friend's wife to sign our kids out of the club? I can't remember from the last time whether we could list names besides ourselves.

Also, we just added the REAS to our package. Should we wait until Disney calls us or call them on our own? If we should call them, who do we call?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Mike :wave2:

You will need to add your friend to the signin\sign out authorization form and give her the "password" that will be required when picking up your child. - Mike

Sorry - Just noticed your 2nd question. I would call them as soon as possible (If it is too early, they will tell you). There are other threads here with Debbie's number to call. She is very pleasant, professional and efficient. When calling make sure you know what days you want to book everything for. - Mike

Hey, Mike...I called Debbie yesterday and was told she was still on vacation. I was transferred to a voice mail and Lisa called me this morning. She was very sweet, answered all my questions, made several suggestions, booked my reservations with no problem at all. Just a heads up that it's okay to not have Debbie do your reservations. I'd call now and not wait until Debbie gets back. :)

NYDisneyMom - I believe Debbie gets back at the end of this week. Sounds like Lisa is just as nice. - Mike

Does anybody know if you can swap the spa service included in the REAS package? Wife is not a big fan of the massage but would go for the surial bath. Has anyone tried to do this?

Mike,
I was a little hesitant when she said her name was "Lisa" but I figured, what the heck...I'd give it a try and if I didn't get my way ;) I'd call Debbie back next week.

Well..Lisa was sooooo nice. She told me what spots were open for spa/Palo ressies, she helped me decide what time I should do Palo -- she said she just went with her nephews last week to see the "Who wants to be a Mousketeer" show (while the ship was in port they ran it for CMs), so I booked Palo after that show. And she told me to make sure the kids stay late at the club that night! LOL!!

She asked me if wanted to book brunch or tea or anything else and took my dining rotation request -- she said she sits next to the girl who arranges those and she just okayed that too! I was very pleased with Lisa --- especially after she told me we were upgraded! LOL!

Fred, I was told you can only choose between the Spa Taster or the Well Being Massage.

Last time I talked to Debbie, I told her there had been some inconsistencies among the posters here as far as Dining rotations and the like. She said that she was going to have a chat with the staff. It's not good when you have to keep calling (just to get a different person) like some of the posters until your requests are met. Debbie also made some good suggestions when I called. Truly one of my best "customer service" experiences I have ever had. - Mike

Phyllis,
Thanx. I knew another Long Islander would come through for me with the answer. Even if it was not the one I wanted to hear.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Fred. Where are you from? I'm in Sayville. :)

You know...I bet Debbie had her talk with the others before she went on her vacation!! :) Good idea, Mike!! And I agree, the process this morning with the REAS ressies was so pleasant, Lisa really got me even more excited about the cruise (if that's even possible!) LOL!

:)

Phyllis and Mike,

Thanks so much for your assistance. You answered my questions quickly and I appreciate it. I'll call later this week when I can get together with my friends.

Mike

My pleasure - Enjoy your cruise and hope your REAS package is as romantic as I know ours will be. - Mike
BTW - Nice name

Just a quick question about the ressies for the REAS. Who do you actually call for these?

I tried to ask for Debbie and the person was so rude - "Who told you to call her?, Why do you want her?, I am speaking to my supervisor and they want to know who told you to speak directly to Debbie?"

Not very pleasant. This is our first ever cruise (6/12/04) and not really sure what to do. ANY advice would be helpful!!

Thanks!

Hi Raquel...sorry you had a bad experience on the phone. When I called yesterday and asked for Debbie, the dining coordinator I was also switched to a supervisor. But she was very nice (can't remember her name) and she put me through to voicemail to leave a message for Debbie.
I would just call the DCL 800# and speak to a reservations CM, tell them you would like to be connected to the dining coordinator to make your Palo and spa reservations. If you get Lisa, you'll be just fine.

I called this morning and spoke with Debbie about our June 19th reservations.
