Club Room vs. Deluxe

Okay, I admit that I worry and overplan. I currently have deluxe room booked at PBH in mid-July. Two adults, three teenagers. Staying two nights after a cruise vacation. Got room through AAA. Now I am wondering if I should shell out another approximately $55 a night for Club Level to get the breakfast, drinks, snacks, etc. Three teens can consume a lot, you know. But I sure hate having that total hotel bill run $330 a night, especially when so many people have been complaining lately that PBH needs some renovation work already. Opinions?

Pam, with 3 teens, the extra $55 would definitely be worth it, ESPECIALLY if they're boys. :flower:

I went to HRH last summer w/ 12 yo DD and 14 yo DS and Club was Definitely worth it. Between the water for me, drinks for them and the food the 2 can consume, it more than paid for itself. We're going again in July and the AAA rate of 336.60 is a real BITE, but still worth the extra.

Good luck in your decision. Never easy.

I agree. I struggled with the same thing and decided club is worth it for sure. If you look at the total cost of the vacation, what's another $55/night for 2 nightss for extra drinks/breakfast/snacks/evening drinks/food etc..
Especially with teens! :teeth:
You'll get your money's worth easily!

We'll be HRH Club July 12-16 (after Disney). GLad to hear it was worth it. We got the AAA rate also. It will be me, DH, 2 dds (6 and 7) and ds (turning 5 this trip). We're hoping for a deluxe Club room but know it's not a guarantee.

Robyn, we are arriving July 16, but there are currently no AAA rates left for HRH. How much are you paying for club room, if you don't mind my asking (want to have reference in case they open up some more AAA rooms)? Also, I thought that if you got club you automatically get deluxe, too. Is that incorrect? Do you mean that I could pay extra for club room but get stuck with the standard-size room. If that's the case, then I'll definitely just keep my deluxe room just for the extra square footage.

We're paying $336 per night (plus tax) for club. At first we were going to just go back to a deluxe room and it was $309 per night. There are apparently only 4 deluxe club rooms so you take a chance. Since my three children are small I'm willing to take the chance of a regular room but really hoping for a club level.

It is worth it, if you think you will use it. It will also be nice with 5 people in a room to have someplace else to go. We had club level at RPR just last week. My 12 year old boy was up and ready to go in 15 minutes. My 14 year old daughter takes 15 minutes just to walk from the bed to the shower. It was so nice to be able to send him to breakfast while she got ready. It saved a lot of arguing. I paid $77 more and still thought it was worth it.

I just returned from HRH and although I did not stay at the club level, friends of ours who were there the same time we were did stay in club level. They said it was worth the money if you intend of taking advantage of it all the time, but.....because many, many people were inviting their friends up to share in all the free stuff (I did not!). They were quite upset about it and said that they would not pay for it again.

I figured $27 extra per night for 5 people is a no-brainer. Just the breakfast alone makes it worth it plus water, sodas, etc. You can't beat that. Also we get the cabanas for 1/2price and we rented them for two days so I feel like that's already paid for itself.
