Club Level

We've been staying Poly concierge the last 6 or 7 years and love it!!! My DH and I are early risers while the girls sleep later.
The lounge is my favorite. Not so much for the food but the extra room. It allows us to have coffee in the morning or a drink at night without waking everyone up.
The personal attention the CM give you make your vacation even more special. And seeing Chef Dick each year with his big smile just adds to the feeling like we are with family at our second home. :goodvibes

I am going to stay CL at GF for the first time in April.....GF IPO already sent me emails regarding my plans and I have faxed over all my requests for them.....they responded within hours, I am very impressed so far!!!!! I LOOOOVE the fact that IPO personalizes your itinerary!!!!
When I booked CL I liked the fact of all the snacks and drinks....as I said in another thread previously, the breakfast and other snack offerings to me seem like a great time saver when you just want to grab something before the parks. I think it will work well for DH, myself and DD4.
Happy New Year!:flower3:

club level will spoil you. we have stayed RPC at the GF 3 times and are going back in May.
1.)location. at the GF if you stay royal palm club you get to stay in the main building. no going outside in teh cold, heat, or rain to walk out to your building. we have been right off the lobby twice where we left our door cracked and could hear the orchestra playing in the lobby :cloud9:
2.)walking down the hall to breakfast every morning is so nice and convenient.
3.)we would get wine/champagne every night at 5, then go to our dinenr ressies. it was nice!
4.) free veideo rentals!
5.) beverages. every time we headed to our roomw e would pass the lounge and grab a couple cokes to put in our fridge for later.
6.) i enjoy PLANNING my adr's but who wants to sit on hold for an hour? you just e mail your requests and it's done!
7.)we are not park commandos. we enjoy the parks, but do not stay there al day ro all night. I would not reccommend CL for someone gone all day and night as you will not get much use out of staying CL!

when my DH was very sick on our honeymoon the concierge staff called 911 for us and had paramedics there isntantly, and a manager brought me to the gift shop and unlcoked it for me (late at night) so i could get him medicine.

when we go on vacationw e want to be pampered and it is worth it to us!

We've stayed at every club level at WDW except for the AKL. It has been nice, but we've noticed that the offerings, etc. have diminished over the years. We've decided we would prefer the extra space for our family over the club level and decided to buy DVC at BLT.....

We've only stayed CL at AKL ( many times) and BWI ( once). Now if we're at AKL in a regular room it just isn't the same and we miss CL. It's not a tangible thing. It's not about the food, the IPO, etc...but just a "feeling" of being able to totally relax and know that if there were to be a problem, it would be taken care of without any hassle. Once I was in the lounge around 9 pm in my wheelchair when I noticed the air was low in a tire. I asked one of the lounge CM's where I might find a nearby gas station the next day to use the air pump and was given the information. Then about 5 minutes later another CM came to the lounge with an air compressor and took care of my tire then and there! We've also bypassed the long check in lines and were whisked up to the concierge desk to check in each time. This past October when were were at BWI over Halloween we were already checked in before we got to the room- my CC was charged for our balance and we were presented with our itinerary and escorted to our room where my breath was taken away by the room and the view. We've also received a platter with birthday cake, hats, and a gift of a large carved giraffe one time for my daughter at AKL, I got a CD of African music one time during my birthday, and we always get a Christmas card from concierge. So if you want to feel spoiled and cared for personally ( not that all CM's don't try to give you that feeling at WDW), concierge is the way to go.---Kathy

If I could afford it, we would book club level. Last April we splurged and stayed at the Poly for 5 nights. My DH was parking the car while DD and I checked in. DD has autism and all of a sudden she bolted from me and ran our the doors....needless to say I had to run after her. Back at check in I apologized and the CM just smiled and said your room is in the Hawaii building.... We were upgraded from a garden view to concierge!!! What a special treat for us. We had breakfast in the lounge every morning and snacks & drinks were available almost all day with special desserts at night. DD was able to watch the MK fireworks from the lounge. The staff was also able to get us ADR's that we couldn't get when calling from home. It was our best vacation ever!!!!! It is going to be hard staying at a moderate this year.

For us it's the convenience of CL. Just sending an email off to them and letting them know what ADR's you want and the different shows without having to stay on a phone for an hour is great. The convienience of grabbing a cup of coffee and a continental breakfast is great. And let's not forget a couple of cold beers:goodvibes is a great refresher for me.

For us, with AKL it's the Sunrise Safari -- we've always wanted to do the AK safari, but slower and without the "story". Plus, the price difference at AKL between a savanna room and a CL room makes it an easy choice for us.

Otherwise, it's really just about the convenience of having snacks throughout the day. And the ADR planning. We dont eat that much and are able to skip some meals because of the CL breakfast. I agree that it's much harder to justify when it's $100 or more extra per night.

We dont always stay CL, but we do love it when we do.:)
