We’re already splurging on a stay at the Grand Californian, and are now considering splurging with adding club level services. I won’t kid myself into thinking it makes financial sense, though with how large our group is, I think the access to prepaid snacks and drinks will come in handy!

I’m curious as to what the concierge service can actually offer. For example, could they help us add an extra day to our tickets when we arrive? I’m considering converting our two day tickets to three day since it has been so cold. Usually arrival day is pool day, but I’m rethinking that….

I would recommend calling them at the special concierge # for club level: 714-956-6425

My basic understanding is that they can help you get things like dining reservations. Calling them should give you the most up to date information on what they provide.

I am not sure about if they can add an extra day to the tickets, that might be something you want to do ahead of time. but the club level is nice you get snacks and drinks throughout the day and I believe there is a special fireworks viewing area but that might just be at DL hotel club level.

Thank you both for responding! In case anyone else is curious - I called like Steven recommended, and learned the club level concierge is able to make modifications to your ticket for you.

Concierge at Disneyworld couldn't add park hopping to our friend's ticket once it's already used. She had a 5 day regular ticket and wanted to add hopper in the evening of Day 2. She was able to have it modified at the ticket booth outside the park.

I understand OP's situation is different. Just suggesting it may be easier to do it yourself through the app.

Just as an FYI, the club concierge is not on the club floor but has a desk on the 3rd floor balcony. They can help you with a lot of things and it's good to ask them about what perks you may be entitled to during your stay. For instance, they used to get you things like preferred seating for Fantasmic and stuff like that. I don't know what they can do now but it would be a good thing to check out.

Edited to add that during our stay in Dec, my sister and I brought a bottle of port and some goodies to the 3rd floor balcony lounge. We couldn't get the cork out of the port (we had a corkscrew they had given us for free in the hotel store because we'd forgotten to bring one). The club concierge walked over from his desk and opened it for us :goodvibes

You absolutely can add a day to your tickets (we have done this numerous times) and you don't need to be staying club level to do this. We've just had the front desk help us out. As a poster mentioned above they had 5 day tickets: and that's the max number of tickets you can get at DL so you can't add a day to that ticket.

Ah, I'm sorry to hear that. They used to have pretty good concierge abilities. This is my biggest fear about DLR--the inexorable degrading of the perks and "little things." I hoped things would improve as we got away from Covid but it only seems to be increasing.

yup, we went this past summer. Rogers the musical was playing in its last week. I asked if they could get us tickets, they said try the VQ. I asked about tickets for World of Color (standing area), again it was try the VQ. I went away thinking, what does concierge do?! Although we did get to watch the fireworks and have hot chocolate from the lounge…

It’s good to hear the mixed experiences - makes me very curious to see what it will actually be like. Our main interest is lounge access, so I still think it will be worth it for us.

One thing that just crossed my mind - is the cost of club level the same whether you are in a standard room or multi bedroom suite? One of the reasons we’re deeming it “worth it” is because we have 10 people in our room reservation, which works out to $30/person a day. I would feel very differently if it were just 2 or 3 people on our room reservation!

Yes, the price is per “room”, so if you have a suite, you can divide it among more people than a regular hotel room.

Can you add club access from any room at GCH? Or do you need to specifically book club rooms? Thanks.

You need to specifically book club rooms.
However, I've heard that if there are no club rooms available when booking, you can ask at the front desk if it can be added to your room and they can check availability.

To me right now, a concierge CM really can only do the same things as what a regular CM could do at a hotel. I agree they were able to do more in the past. The main advantage to them is that there is typically a faster response to your question.

My understanding is that they are more useful to first time guests. They can help you plan your days, etc. I.e. all things that people on the DIS boards can help with.

The one thing that I was able to get a confirmation on is that they can help get dining reservations. However, they do NOT have anything special here. I.e. if you are a hotel guest in general, you get access to slightly more reservations than regular guests do to begin with (if your account is linked to your hotel stay). All they do is tap into that same bucket. If you don't see any reservations available when logged in to an account that has a linked hotel stay setup, then they most likely won't be able to get a reservation for you either.

I heard in a video that if you are club level then you can check in with the concierge and skip the long lines at the front desk. The last couple of times we we have stayed at the Grand Cal we have been in line for over an hour, so that is a perk.

We stayed in Club Level last year. It was fun, but I wouldn't do it again. Supposedly they give you a tour of the Club Lounge, but somehow we missed that part. We ended up going up there ourselves. The person at the desk asked our names, and checked us off a list she had. We checked in the regular line too, but it wasn't too busy when we checked in.

Wow, that's terrible. We have never had that experience - I think longest line we've had at the Grand (we have a few DVC points so go once or twice a year) was maybe 5 groups ahead of us. I hope that is not a sign of things to come.

When we asked club level concierge at disneyland hotel what they could do, it didn't seem like much...
So we are booked for a week at the club level at the Disneyland Hotel. We have had a horrible time getting reservations at the 60 day marker anywhere on property so decided to call the hotel. After talking to the hotel I asked, what DOES concierge assist with? Do they have the ability to get those hard to book reservations and this is what i learned:
They will call the hotel and put you on await list
They do not have any access to anything outside of what a guest has (i.e. the my disney experience App)
There is no way to book a dining experience if the restaurants are booked they are booked.

I also asked, outside of the food and drink in the club, what is the actual value of having the Concierge?
I was met with., " I know this must be frustrating, and the value is knowing that we are available 24 hours a day to assist if you need someone to cancel or get you something ".
Doesn't the front desk do that?
So for the extra $350 a night I get zippo. This is not the experience we have encountered at the WDW Florida resorts. And I am sad to say, this is a one and done experience for us. If we weren't already booked on flights... it would be cancelled. Truly a disgrace.
