We are bursting with excitment! :yay::yay::yay: We have never stayed at club level before despite numerous visits to HRH. What can we expect whilst there? We will be in a queen room. What will the food be like? What is the lounge like etc?
This a real treat for us and something we will not be able to do again for a while. We will be staying 5-8 Jan 2010.
Many thanks for any info

i have stayed club level quite a few times and know your excitement and joy!!

(if you change the dates on the options below on the forum page, you can check out past threads on hrh club. some threads have pictures of the club lounge)

all the rooms are 2 queens for a standard room
the king suites and a few double queen deluxe rooms, are also on club level.

hrh had the smallest club lounge out of the 3 on site hotels.

all of them have breakfast offerings at 7 to 10 am
there should be a token snack offering for during the day.

evening offerings will be out 5 to 7ish. times might have changed as i last did club there in 07.
menu changes daily with some repeats during the week.

sweet hour is later in the evening.

beer and wine is available for the evening offerings also.

soda and water is available all the time.

hrh club opens at 7 am and closes at 10 pm each day.

club also offers the daily newspapers, usage of their cds, a computer, tv section, etc.
you also have use of the concierge in the lounge for making ressies, answering questions, print out plane boarding passes, etc.

the concierge in the lobby for all guests, can do the same.

you will enjoy your stay on club level.

Thanks for the info. Really can't wait now. Am more excited than the kids!

I have a question about the club levels. Are the rooms bigger than a standard room? We are staying at the RPR. Also, if we got the club rooms do you think we need the meal deal at the parks. I'm torn of what to do. I called them and they said its $750 more to upgrade from a standard room to a club level. I would appreciate any idea or tips. Thanks

OP - You'll love HRH Club! Staff are much more energetic / enthusiastic nowadays. Years ago... not so much.
Get to know 'em!

jlm - Rooms are same square footage pretty much, as far as std., dlxe.,etc.
Some Suites may be different, IDK.
Wouldn't get Park Meal Plan, but I also wouldn't count on Club Happy Hour food as dinner!
HTH!

WOW! this is really going to be the highlight or our holiday. Thanks for all the replies.

standard rooms are the same size on all floors.

all 3 hotels do this:
if a sign is out on the counter asking if you want to upgrade to club, that means you can upgrade to club from the room you booked at a lower price.

many times the upgrade cost will be between $50 - $100 more per night.
other posters have stated on other threads they were charged either $50 or $75 on their upgrade.

it might be cheaper, $50 an upgrade per night, if the hotel overbooked.
or if they want to open up more standard rooms available.

it is more economical for the hotel to upgrade guests to club and open up more of the standard rooms.
they can book more guests that way.
standard, no view rooms, go fast as they are the cheapest to book.

if you want club but not at the cost you were quoted, ask about the upgrade when you check in.
you might catch a sweet deal.

i wouldn't count on the club lounge food offerings to replace a meal.

We are booked in a Garden View room at PBH mid-August. I would like to see about a Club upgrade at check-in. All room categories are still showing as available for the nights we are there (except there is no Garden View avail. the first night - bodes well for an upgrade, yes?). Here's the kicker: we are LoewsU1st Blue which means we get an upgrade at check-in - to Bay View I assume. So would the cost to upgrade to Club be the difference between Club and the Garden View we booked or the Bay View we'd be upgraded to? Or is it a flat rate at check-in no matter what room level you are in?

Any chance the LoewsU1st upgrade would be to Club level? That happened to us for our one night stay at RPR back in 2006 when it was still Loews1st.

What about asking not for a Club level room, but just Club access keys? I though I had read here about people doing that. Or does the Club level at PBH 'work' differently than RPR or HRH because only the lounge needs a key and not a special key in the elevator.

I would love to hear any and all comments/insights into this! Thanx bunches!! :flower3:

the only person i personally know, that asked for club rights without staying at club level, cost them $75 per day.

i don't know how they do it now as my friend did this 2 years back.

Thanks. I'll just keep it the way it is and if I see a sign or if they offer me an upgrade I'll get it. I'm glad I joined DISboards. I would've of just upgraded not knowing they might offer me a better price at check in.

I second that the staff at HRH Club level are excellent. We stayed there for a week this past march, and they were so helpful and fun. Kinda a hilight in themselvers -- they interacted and goofed around with the guests, kept teasing my neice about her ID, (she recently turned 22- so they made her haul out her DL every day although they new her name, and where she lived because of her drivers liscence)

The evening appetizers (from what I can remember) were kinda themed, one night was 'asian' with potstickers, another night mexican with bite sized taco/burritos, and one night had shrimp I think...

Apparently there were crispy creme donuts first thing in the morning, but we were never there early enough in the morning to score some- lots of nice fresh fruit available every morning.

Have a great stay!

We too have found the staff will always go out of their way to make sure you have the best time during your stay. They managed to organize Club level for us this year and iron out a few niggles whilst there last time. Would always recommend HRH staff, they are the best!
