I know it's like 600 dollars more for the concierge level but i'm thinking that the food would cover us for breakfast and lunch and that could save us some money. We'd be doing it at the Poly. What do you guys think?

I have not personally stayed club level at the poly. If you can afford it and want to go for it, I'd say do it. If you are looking to save money, it is probably not the way to go. You can add deluxe dining for less than what is costs to stay concierge. There are several threads on these boards that talk about the club level experience which I would suggest you read. Also, the snacks the bring out, come out around 5-7 so you couldn't make a lunch of it. Some folks report using concierge "snacks" as their dinner, but I don't believe it is set up that way, I think they are really appetizers. You know best what you want, so have fun whatever you decide! BTW I've been told that the concierge rooms are excluded from the new 4/3 promo, in case you are thinking about that!

Not for lunch--not much more than gummies and uncrustables and cookies and fishy crackers. However, there is MORE than enough for breakfast and dinner!

We love the Club Level for convenience. Breakfast, Snacks, Cold Beers, Cold Sodas, Cordials, Delicious Appetizers. We especially love sitting in the lounge watching the fireworks at night,, after a long day at the parks!! The view is even awesome in the daytime!! Yes I think it is worth every penny!! We have stayed at the Poly Concierge numereous times and Love it!!

 :cool1: Thanks for all the info... We are staying at the Beach Club on the concierge floor.... I will let you know how it was.

We leave for the airport in just over 11 hours.... I can't wait :grouphug: princess:

:dance3: You must be so excited to be leaving shortly. We've stayed at the YC several times and loved it. Have a great trip.:dance3:

We have always stayed club level and love it. For us it's the way to go. My only suggestion is to sit down and work the figures and see what's best for you and your family. We were thinking of doing the Deluxe dining plan a second time along with the club level and for us that is just way too much food. Besides we can't be bothered chasing ADR's all day long. We did it once and will never do it that way again. This is one of the reasons why we stay club level and do the regular dining plan. It works out great to us. Whatever you decide, have a great time.

My family and I enjoy staying Club Level at WDW because it's great having the lounge for breakfast right in the lounge and we always like to make it back at 5:00 PM for the hot hors d'ouvres, crudites, assorted cheeses, children's items, beverages, wine and beer.

I think the value also depends on how many are in your party. It's the same cost per room- not per person... so a family of 5 staying gets more "value" than a couple. Know what I mean?
We stayed at the Beach Club concierge last summer and :lovestruc loved it! It was so nice to have somewhere to go where you didn't have to worry about the check! The kids loved the treats and DH loved the nightly beer (that he def. earned!)
Good Luck and Happy Planning!
:)

We stayed CL last time and we loved the convenience of having the club offerings several times during they day. DH would go down and grab a continental breakfast for us and we'd eat in our room as we got ready to go to the parks. They have trays to help you bring things back to the room to eat, so the girls could take their time. DH loved the drinks available all day long! You cannot make a meal out of the "lunch" food though. THe dinner appetizers are just that, and that wouldn't be much of a meal either! The desserts and drinks are nice after a day at the park (early evening return).

I debated the merits of staying CL again next time or getting the dining plan. I wanted to try the latter, but DH loved the convenience of the drinks and breakfast so much he wanted to stay with Club again. My girls are light eaters too, so it I think it makes more sense too.

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the POLY club Level! The food is wonderful. It is worth the extra money to us. Our thinking is we are on vacation and at Disney.....we want to have the "fairy tale" experience. Is it a good value....no, it is not a good monetary value, but a great experience value!

We love the Poly CL and use it with every trip. My DH is sold on it....very convienent as others have stated. We do breakfast, snacks throughout the day and light supper there almost every evening. Along with the beverages and other things that are offered.

I at first was concierge at WL for Christmas but the more I thought about it I changed and am doing courtyard view (non concierge) plus the DDP, I am still going to be saving money. The food and snacks are not meant to be a meal plan, I have done poly concierge and maybe oyu could but for me I like one sit down meal no matter where I go on vacation. Have a FUNtastic time no matter what you do:)

I would love to stay CL, but I just can't justify the cost, when DDP would be around the same price, or possibly less than the cost of upgrading to CL. Of course, I really don't book anything other than standard view and hope for pixie dust, knowing that I'm okay with the level I booked just in case, I don't get it.

Okay, I am considering Club Level at BWI (it appears to be available with the 4/3 deal).

My question is, during what times can you visit the lounge for a glass of wine? :confused3

I am thinking the convenient breakfast would be awesome for us, and while I don't anticipate being around too many times for the lunch/dinner apps, the DH would probably be happy just knowing he could get a glass of wine or beer now and then. We are not DDP people...I know this sounds ridiculous, but we hate having to figure out what everyone is entitled to eat at each meal and keeping track of what we've used, etc. DH is far more a fan of convenience.

Any other perks to CL? TIA!

I am also curious about the times. I have booked the AKL Club for June under the 4-3 promotion. :cool1:

I love staying CL :goodvibes

I like to stay in a 'separate' keyed access area (AKL doesn't have a keyed access area for the rooms) and I like the planning services of the IPO, they've always got me everything I've asked for from ADRs to tours, to Illuminations cruises (including Breathless).

I'm a light eater for breakfast (I just like cereal) so it's great, I also like the convenience of helping myself to coffee/tea and sodas whenever I want. I've never been able to make a meal out of the evening offerings, they are appetisers and for that purpose they are great. I don't mean to offend anyone but whenever I've stayed CL the plates they provide are tiny (like saucers) so I take that as a hint that Disney consider the food offered as purely appetisers and I wouldn't feel comfortable with walking away with a few plates, but each to their own :goodvibes
