We are planning a trip to the YC CL next April. We stayed there once before and enjoyed it enough that we are returning! This time we are bringing the kids because I know they will love SAB. :goodvibes

In fact, if it wasn't for SAB we may have tried out one of the other Deluxe Club Levels, since the only one we've ever tried is YC. So, that got me thinking...

Which of the Deluxe Club Levels has the best tasting food and the best variety? How about the best selection of kid friendly items?

I noticed that in 2010 (when we last visited YC CL) a lot of their hot appetizers were of the phyllo dough wrapped variety. That was probably the only disappointing thing to us. There didn't seem to be a lot of variety from night to night in the hot appetizer selection. Each night there seemed to be a different thing wrapped in phyllo dough.

So, what do you think? Which club level has the best tasting food??

We have only done WL CL, but I can say that the offerings were really good! There was a good variety too. We had BBQ chicken skewers, venison meatballs, venison chili, scallops wrapped in bacon, some sort of chicken wings one night. From my understanding they have since added sushi!!

Yum, yum, yum!!! :goodvibes

We were underwhelmed by Yc CL. It's not stopping us from staying there again. I love the resort and I love Cl. I just can't say I loved YC Cl. The food at the Poly was very good. I have also read good reviews on Wl, BWI and AKL. I wish I could say YC CL was great. It wasn't bad either. It was just ok. Just to add the poly has very good kid items. Uncrustables. Not healthy I know, but the kids love them. They also had mini corn dogs and I think chicken nuggets. The poly punch is something the other CL's don't have. It taste like a mai tai.

I know what you mean. We thought YC CL was pretty good, but then again we had nothing else to compare it to. I just keep reading better reviews on some of the other club levels, especially when it comes to the food. Just hoping that SAB and easy access to Epcot make up for some of the shortcomings of YC CL.

I have done GF RPC, GF SL, BWI, YC, BC, AKL.

YC/BC have the same food and are my least favorite of the ones I have tried. GF RPC is the best Disney club experience.

You're definitely not the first to recommend GF RPC. What is it that makes it so highly recommended?

I don't have any experience with CL but we are booked at YC CL next July. We have stayed at YC the last 5 times we went to Disney. It is our absolute favorite hotel. We love SAB and the access to Epcot and just hanging out at the Boardwalk. I'm hoping we won't be disappointed in the CL but then again we have nothing else to compare it to. I have also read that the other CL have better food offerings and better views but no other hotel has SAB.

We recently stayed CL at Contemporary. This was our only time having CL. We liked the food but there often wasn't much variety, especially for breakfast and dessert. Kid friendly things were like PB&J and apple slices & caramel, which were offered daily (I ate a lot of these things). The hot items included BBQ chicken, rock shrimp w/hummus, different flatbreads. I am curious about other CL experiences. Have a great trip!

YC and BC are both beautiful resorts. Out of the two of those, BC has the better of the two club levels. I have stayed at most of the resorts, and have found the Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Contemporary to be the 3 best lounge offerings for both adults and kids. YC has always underwhelmed me.

I have stayed CL at GF RPC, BWI, Poly, CR AC, YC and BC. Food wise, RPC was the best with Poly a close second. I was also underwhelmed with both BC and YC. They were nice but kind of ....meh? :confused3

I do love the YC/BC resort, and I probably will end up upgrading to CL for my next BC stay just for the convenient breakfast since I don't love the other options there.

Overall, my favorite CL is the Poly. You just cannot beat the Hawaii location and the punch doesn't hurt either! :cloud9:

I know the resort is our favorite. I wish they would do something to improve the Cl. This will be our first time trying BC CL and WL CL. I will write a short review so look for it. Poly Cl is amazing, but the pool is not SAB. Have you considered a split stay?

We've stayed WL CL, GF SL, & GF RPC. GF RPC is my favorite, with WL CL running a close second :goodvibes. I didn't care for GF SL. The food offerings were great (they're the same as RPC), but the lounge is right inside the lobby of the SL building and it was always very busy and chaotic, which didn't make for nice visits to the lounge. RPC, on the other hand, is amazing!! The lounge is spacious with plenty of seating, the views are beautiful, the offerings are plentiful, and the CMs are amazing :thumbsup2. We are booked at YC CL for 2 nights in July 2013, but I keep thinking about changing as I'm always wondering how it will compare to the GF.

yum! sounds great!

For those that have stayed GF RPC, what makes that CL so much better of an expirence?

For me, it's the atmosphere, the spacious lounge, the food offerings, and the amazing CMs :thumbsup2. One of my favorite things to do is go to the lounge in the morning while everyone else is getting ready and drink my coffee while looking at the beautiful views and watch the resort "wake up" :cloud9:. It's also relaxing in the evening enjoying snacks or just sitting in the lounge listening to the band play :goodvibes.

What is the breakfast food like at CL at the Contemporary?

And what time does CL breakfast usually begin?

What is the breakfast food like at CL at the Contemporary?

I can't help with this as we've never stayed at the CR, but if you go to the CR FAQ, I'm sure you can find information on the food offerings :).

And what time does CL breakfast usually begin?

Breakfast offerings are usually ready at 7:00 a.m., with coffee service starting as early as 6:30 :goodvibes.

We've done AKL CL, Poly CL, SF Sugarloaf Lodge and BWI CL.

We were not disappointed in any of them.

Breakfast was muffins, bagals, Rolls, yogurt, hot and cold cereals. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate

and juices. There may have been hard boiled at some.

Afternoons were snacks chips, cookies, gummies, nuts, goldfish and cold drinks.

Evenings offerings varied usually 2 hot appetizers, a cold appetizer, cheese and crackers and usually veggies with dip. Beer, wine and cold drinks.

After 8 there's desserts and cordials.

Some of the club rooms were small, the best CL room was The Poly. The best offerings were GF. The best CM were BWI.

There was always fresh fruit and drinks available from the time they open till closing, and you can take your food back to the room on a tray if you like.

We will be returing next fall either BC or YC. As much as I would like BC I've read here some CL rooms have very small balconies , standing room only.

The one thing about staying deluxe is their lack of a good food court. I though the food at all were below par.

Always remember the offerings other then breakfast, the other meals are not enough to replace a meal. That being said I'm a light eater a glass of wine, some cheese and crackers and maybe a hot appetizer would fill me up.

Our big meal of the day was a late TS lunch. When parks are open late for resort guest we would grab something from a CS Restaurant.

CL rooms open a 7 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. Breakfast may have been 7 to 10 or 11 can't remember. At 11 the snacks come out, at 4 the evenings offerings come out and at 8 it's dessert time.

I have read at times offering were slim, I never experienced that, there was always ample food and drinks available. Yes the rooms do get crowded at times and there sometimes aren't tables available, at these times we get a tray and either go outside by the pool or onto our balcony.

Hope I've answered some of your quesrions.

We are a family of 10 sometimes more. Grandparents, married children and grandchildren, ranging in ages. Cl works great for our visits. During the day, lots of times we split up sometimes meeting up for lunch other times at the resort for the evening offerings.

We never do the free dining always take the discount, we do have AP and usually travel during value season. The fall is our favorite time of year, but we have done Christmas, February, March, Easter and last year Star Wars Weekend.
