Club Level Coronado Springs?

Anyone done it? Can you tell me more about it? Seems kind of iffy on whether or not you would actually get lounge access if there is a convention going on. How do you know if there is a convention going on?

BTW...I am planning a big family vacation for ourselves and two of DH's sisters' families. Coronado Springs is the resort of choice. I've stayed Club Level at Beach Club before. I'm not looking to hear about OTHER club level and if they are better, more worth the money. Whatever. Just looking for some first hand experience, if there is any out there!

Club level at CSR was slated to become available in Jan. of this year, but Disney decided to put it on hold for the general public and make it available only to corporate groups that book conferences at CSR. I was going to be one of the first guests to give it a try, but it did not come to pass. We haven't heard much about it since the program was cancelled. Maybe when the economy recovers it will be made available to cash customers??? Hope this answers your question.

Oh I'm so sad about that! I didn't realize that they hadn't gone through with making it available to the general public. Well. I can hope for it to happen in 2010!

Yeah, on the old CSR thread there were a few pictures of the Club lounge posted, plus one guest experienced a soft opening and posted a review, but that was as close as it got to the public. I was super disappointed, since I was so excited to try the "club lite". I do hope to stay at CSR sometime, especially after the room renovations!

I saw those pictures. The lounge looked really nice. I could totally hang out there. I liked that there was a desk in the club level rooms and a lounge chair and ottoman. Just seemed really nice. Ah well. We'll see what happens for next year. It looks like DH's family is picking CSR for our vacation.

Everybody who wants this, needs to write to WDW and let them know! The more feedback they get, the more likely they are to make this available!

1) Probably will not help at all !
2) Business people want Concierge (in this case Club Level) service.
3) Although not true Concierge, they at least get the lounge.
4) Business folks do not want kids running around and loud guests disturbing them.
5) Thus, the lounge is reserved for business/convention guests.

NOTE: Disney makes HUGE, HUGE, HUGE bucks on conventions, and does not want to risk losing any of it. That is why the hotel (as a Moderate) went to Queen beds instead of Full beds, and is adding a Club Floor

I understand what you are saying. I still don't totally buy it though. Yacht Club is a convention resort and they haven't singled out their Club Level for business only. Perhaps they have other places for the business people to hang out though? And I wonder what happens when the people there for business bring their families because mom or dad turn the whole thing into a family vacation since their company is likely footing a portion of the bill... Do they currently have an age limit on the lounge?

Maybe guests who are at WDW for a convention and choose to bring their families might stay at the resorts with convention centers closer to the parks. So that would leave them with the Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Boardwalk and Yacht Club. Plus if those guests on business choose to stay Club Level at those resorts, their lounges are for anyone staying up there and don't have an age limit.

I am not sure why Coronado Springs has this rule that only business guests can stay Club Level there, because you do make a good point about what if they bring their family members to stay with them and make it a working vacation.
