Club Level and Reservations

I have read in a couple of places where if you are staying club level at a resort, you can request that they make your ADR and FP selections for you. Is this accurate? Is their any value or advantage to using the CL concierge? How would you go about requesting this? Has anyone done this and was it successful?

My biggest concern is to put in a request and then have someone forget to do it or do it wrong and cause me to miss out on some needed reservations as a result. <<< Control freak

Each deluxe resort that has club level lounges has a pre arrival service called IPO (itinerary planning office) once you have made a reservation at a resort club level you will receive a welcome letter, it will have a phone number, email address and fax number. They will also send you a questionere about your trip, so they can help you with room location requests, special occasions or celebrations. They do book ADR's for you. We always stay club level and I fill out the fax more than 180 days out & send it to them & then call the day before to make sure they have my requests. They do not book anything before 180 days just like everybody else but I have never had a problem. We were there at holidays in Dec 11-24 & they got me BOG dinner, Ohana dinner, Boma dinner, Chef Mickey, Tusker House, 1900 Parkfare Dinner, Crystal palace b-fast b4 park opened, Cal Grill, Whispering Canyon cafe, & Hoop De Doo 6:15 (middle showing, level 1 on the floor - actually first row) & I had them reserve a golf cart afterward so we could ck out fort wilderness, they also got us our MVMCP tickets. Now if u call them the day before you leave you won't get all that but yep one fax and on my 180 day mark I had an email with all confirmation numbers & all linked to MDE, I have had them get me show tickets like cirq or spa treatments, they are wonderful. And once you arrive the club conceigre will help you w any problems, my son totally changed his mind and the CM changed all of our fast passes to corralate the new plan, cancel ADR's no longer needed, & find new ones. I have stayed club level at every deluxe but contemporary and they all have little stand out things that make their resort/ club level experience different but they are really wonderful people that really help your trip be seamless with as few snags as possible.... We will never not stay club level again. We are stay at poly for 5 nights in July & beach club 7 nts in Dec. / jump in u will love it, & I'm a control freak too;

Yup.

Is their any value or advantage to using the CL concierge?

Not to me. I prefer to do these things myself. But some people are too busy and prefer to hand this off to the Club Level CMs in the Itinerary Planning Office.

How would you go about requesting this?

After you book your CL stay the IPO (Itinerary Planning Office) at your resort will send you a welcome email. This email will contain a sheet you can fill out with any ADRs and or FP+ reservations you would like them to make. This welcome email will also have the phone number to the IPO office at your resort. This is a good thing because it is the only way you will be able to contact somebody that is actually at your resort prior to your arrival.

Has anyone done this and was it successful?

A big majority of guests staying Club Level do this. Depends on your definition of successful. They may not be able to get you a hard to get ADR last minute, but neither would you on your own.

You are not alone in that fear.

Might I suggest you check out the Club Level Thread. Tons of great information and reviews.

Thanks for the advice! I did not get a welcome letter but I did find the email address to the IPO office for the Poly and have emailed them to get the proper format for my requests.

It sounds like you haven't stayed CL yet and I can tell you that you are in for a magical experience. Now I know no one is perfect, but I can tell you the WDW CL cast members are the best of the best. They are not known for making errors so go ahead and give them the information on what reservations you desire and sit back and let the magic begin.

I do use CL IPO for ADR's that I am flexible on. i.e. - we'll be having a pool day and I don't care when we're going to eat lunch at the resort.
I don't use them for ADR's that are very important to my overall plan.
I do use them for cancelling ADR's when I change my mind - happens frequently :D
I did not use them this past trip for booking FPP. I was one of the kooks who logged on asap to book them as soon as they opened for my window.
I use the CL CM's much more when I'm there then before - again changing ADRs or FPPs.

I do have control issues. :D

We stayed CL on our last trip and I booked our reservations our selves. I am a control freak. My sister was also staying CL too on the same trip, I helped with all of her dinning. She wanted BOG last minute, :scared: So I asked for IPO to help, They were able to get the reservation for her around 45 days out. I couldn't do it, So I have to say they are helpful in those ways. But I have to do stuff on my own. :drive:all the way! lol

We used to have the IPO make our dining ADR's wen staying club level. But with the new MDE app making it so easy to book ADR's I don't really perceive using IPO as much of a benefit any longer.

I worked with a person from the IPO today (they called me almost first thing this morning after sending them an email late last night). Even though I am not at my 180 days yet, they took all of my ADR requests along with some show requests and special allergy information. She went on to explain about the east pool at the Poly being under construction while we are there. She did give me a sense that nothing would be dropped or missed so I feel good about letting them work those items. She seemed to know what times to request on the ADRs that would give us the best shot at getting the time frame I was looking for, etc. Very knowledgeable.

Looks like things are working out well. You get their Planning document about 8 days before the 180 window so that may have been why you hadn't gotten it.

We've used them every visit and they've never let us down if there is availability and only once has that been a problem. Saves me from getting up at 6:00 am which I appreciate. The ADRs they make show up automatically in MDE and you can add to them, change times, etc as you wish. Very convenient.

When should I expect to hear from them if I booked CL within 180 days- we are at 154 or something like that. I have my dining, we just moved our room into club level. Also- do you guys use them with success for your FP+ res?
