We love club level at Wilderness Lodge. If it's not open by our trip in October, I'm thinking another suite-type or unique experience might be fun as an alternative to the club level perks. If you were me, where would you book and what type of room? A villa somewhere else? A suite? My hesitation is that even though we enjoy the grounds and atmosphere of the Wilderness Lodge, without club level and with Artist Point now being character dining, the food options do not seem as appealing...

The best “CL alternative” trip we’ve done since reopening was a BLT 2-BR last summer (thanks for the move Disney!). We loaded up on food/drink from Garden Grocer, ate breakfast and most lunches on the balcony daily watching the castle and monorails go by.

Granted we were just happy to be at Disney and the 2-BRs at BLT are very livable/comfortable, but we really enjoyed that trip.

I have the 2 bed villa booked for my next stay but have done CR and GF and bar hopped on the mono several trips. ER or pool bar at Gf , Tambu or pool bar at poly and then CG, the Wave etc could be done at CR.

We haven't done CL since purchasing DVC. Now we create our own "lounge" in the kitchen of a 1BR villa or larger. We order groceries, alcohol and appetizer platters from dizzydolphindelivery.com They have awesome platters available. Breakfast is in the villa every morning (with my favorite brand of coffee). And it's so nice to relax in the eveningwith our own choices of wine and beers while sitting on a balcony just watching the World go by. I highly recommend getting at least a 1BR villa for the full kitchen. You'll be spoiled.

We got a 2 bedroom villa at The Riveria resort, at a discount since they moved us from Wilderness Lodge Club Level at thanksgiving. We did a big garden grocer shopping also. then we mobile ordered from the quick service downstairs and also bought several bottles of wine from the bar and brought it back to our room. Not quite the same, but a very nice trip

I will also chime in and am on the same page as all of the above!! We buy a ton of stuff on arrival day... candy and snacks we arrange on the counter for picking throughout the day. Fridge we’ll get beer/White Claws/wine and set them up nicely in the fridge for easy grab and go. Easy breakfast for mornings we do not have ADR’s ...typically coffee/bagels/English muffins/pastries/cereal and mostly do lunch in room before heading down to the pool, so we can get down faster!! We usually have ADR’s in the evening. Enjoy!!

We stay CR Club Level and GF Villas split-stays when we travel to WDW. We get the best of both worlds. Having said the latter: We miss the CL at CR very much and hope it soon returns. Holiday Inn Express and other hotel chains still offer breaksfasts etc. when traveling even with the pandemic. Yes, it is different but it begs the question why WDW CL can't do the same??

We haven’t done CL in a while as I’ve discovered I really enjoy getting 1 or 2 bedroom villas and simply stocking our own kitchen to create our own “club lounge”. Favorites are BCV, BWV and VGF.

VGF is our home resort. We love it there. :goofy:
