Hi! Has anyone ever stayed on the Club Floor and is it worth the extra $$$??? Please help!! I have two young boys and someone told me that children were no welcomed on club floor. Thanks

I've never been fortunate enough to stay on club level, but my sister's family stayed at RPR club level in 2003 and my then 8 year old nephew loved it, as did his parents.

I have never stayed on club floor--I never thought it would be worth the extra $$. A continental breakfast is available in the morning and hor duerves beer, wine and soft drinks are available sometime in the evening. At night, cookies are served. I am sure we would make use of the breakfast, but figure I would not want to schedule my day around the hor duerves in order to make the expenditure worthwhile.

The following info is from Universal Orlando's website:

Portofino Bay
Guests can enjoy the very finest in European hospitality when they upgrade to the Club Level. In addition to a welcome amenity featuring a custom CD of classic Italian music and a nightly Portofino Bay themed turndown amenity, Club Level guests will be treated to an array of exclusive amenities in the new Portofino Club Lounge, where they'll enjoy daily continental breakfast, evening hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine service, nightly desserts including cookies and milk and more.

Hard Rock
The Hard Rock Club Lounge features complimentary continental breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine, plus desserts in the evening. Other amenities include an extensive music library, library of rock n' roll books, game table for backgammon, chess, checkers and chess, two separate TV viewing areas (including one large screen) plus the Personal Concierge available from 7:30am - 11:00pm. Club Rooms also include unlimited use of our fitness center.

Royal Pacific
The hotel's exclusive 7th floor Club Level Rooms give you private access to the Royal Club Lounge serving continental breakfast, afternoon beer, wine and snacks, concierge service, as well as unlimited use of the fitness center. Additional room amenities include automatic turndown service, daily newspaper delivery and cotton bathrobes.

I personally wouldn't stay on club level because it just wouldn't be worth it. It would cost me $446 more to stay club level on my next trip. It's just me & my boyfriend and quite honestly, we wouldn't consume $446 worth of snacks at the hotel. We already receive a free morning newspaper and have free use of the fitness room because we're Loews First members. We prefer to book a standard room and get a free upgrade to a king suite at RPR (we're platinum members). Just my opinion...but I know there's members on here that looooove club level and can give you a different perspective. :)

Last summer we were upgraded to club level at RPH for 179.00 a night. We were a party of 4, including 2 teenagers. I figure we got our money's worth from breakfast alone. The selection was very good and it was really nice to have a quiet, all you can eat breakfast, at your convenience. Also, we had a constant supply of free water, soft drinks and snacks, as well as well-deserved wine and dessert at the end of the day. The club staff is available to handle any reservations for dinner, shows, etc. We are headed to PBH this week, bay view, club level for 288.00. I hope it's as good as last year at RPH.

I've stayed at HRH Club Level & will be staying at PBH Club Level this year.

Kids are definately welcome in Club Level and I saw many during our stay at HRH.

I always get a discount so to me club level is worth it. We can grab a quick breakfast and get to the parks early and don't have to worry about searching for breakfast during our stay. My children really enjoyed the evening snacks & borrowing CD's for the room. I enjoyed the discount on the Cabana, which my family loved.

This year we are staying at PBH Club Level and I'm not sure if there lounge is as kid friendly, but the hotel looks beautiful and with Club Level you get a deluxe room. Also, the Club Rooms have DVD Players & you can borrow DVD's from the Club Lounge. Which I know my kids will love.

Hope this helps!

We stayed club (deluxe room it was great) at the HRH in May. We have three girls 9,7 & 2 and they loved going to the lounge for snacks and food. We would eat as much as we can in the morning to hold us. Then load up on water and pop for the parks and hit the road.
We only made it back one night for the evening wine/beer and food. That was too bad...but we were always at the parks until closing and it didn't work with our schedule.
We did however enjoy the breakfasts, evening turn down in our room and dessert for the kids.
Plus we saved $$ renting our cabana. It all came out good for us. Depends on what rate you can get for the Club level.
Hope we can go back soooooooooooooooon!!!!!!

Just wanted to let you know that PBH does NOt offer cabana discounts. I had a problem with that last year and they said it is offered at the other hotel on property but they no longer do it. It was removed from their website last June.
Although, you can still rent one over a HRH and see if they will give you the discount because you are club at PBH.

I have to concur with DisneyMom. I just reserved cabanas a couple of weeks ago at HRH for July, however I am staying at the Portofino. The lady at HRH said you can only get the club discount on the HRH cabanas if you are staying club at the HRH. Club at PBH or RPR will not qualify you the discount for the cabanas at HRH.

Needless to say, I was a tad disappointed.

That is odd... I had reservations for Club at the Portofino and a Cabana Reserved at the HRH for half price this past December. I wonder when they changed their policy on that??

I wasn't planning on getting a cabana at PBH, because we will be spending most of our time at the Beach pool and I believe the cabanas are only at the Villa pool. But that's odd they don't offer discounts to club level.

Maybe the difference is, I was dealing directly with the HRH recreation group for reserving the cabana, not the PBH Concierge?? I told the HRH recreation people (and the HRH Concierge, as well) that I was Club level, but over at PBH. That didn't seem to matter to them as long as I was club level... somewhere! LOL!

If you want a cabana over at the HRH, I would try calling the recreation number at HRH directly and give them your info.

This may be moot if you wish a cabana at your own resort! LOL! :goodvibes

Last year I reserved a cabana at PBH and printed out the page "what's new" where it listed the discount. I was told no PBH discounts, so I whipped out the page. They gave me the credit, but removed it instantly from their website. We checked on the lounge computers the very next day. They should offer them seeing as they are often unoccupied and this could help drum up some business. I have never tried to rent at HRH but heard they still offer discounts. I hope you try it the way suggested and get a good deal. :sunny:

Disbug,

They must have changed the policy as I too spoke directly with Amy at the Recreation office at HRH. She was very, very adament that club at PBH would not get us the discount. So, I have the yellow submarine (#7) reserved for $125, and the one next to it (#8) reserved for $100.00.

I wouldn't be able to tell you if PBH club gets you a discount on the Villa Pool cabanas because my kids wanted a cabana AND a slide. :goodvibes

Oh well.

I wonder if they changed the policy because so many of the people at HRH who were on Club were not able to reserve the cabanas and complained?? There are only 10 available per day and I would think that Club members would be VERY interested in a 50% discount? :wave2:

I'm staying club at HRH in over the 4th. I called today to reconfirm my Cabanas for 5th & 6th and they are $70 for themed for Club.
