Club 33

With lots and lots of money, and patience :) I think the current wait time is about 14 years (according to the unofficial website) if they even accept your letter/application at all. The Corporate Membership fee is $27,500 plus $6,100 in annual fees. The Gold Membership is for an individual with a member fee of $10,450 and an annual fee of $3,275. (from Wiki)

Well, like I posted, according to Wiki, the first is the one-time fee, the second number is the annual fee. Since I'm not a member, this is all from Wiki, but it says:

The member and one guest (or spouse) receive complimentary admission to Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure at any time whether or not they eat at the Club. Club members and up to nine guests are allowed complimentary admission when dining at the Club. If the member is unable to accompany the guests to Club 33, the Club will arrange admission for them at no charge. Club members receive complimentary parking.

*I do know that your tab at the restaurant has to be at least the cost of one day's admission, that's how it works.

You cannot become a member of Club 33. Disneyland is no longer accepting applications either, since the waiting list became so long.

Yeah they said once you're a member, you remain a member until you die. It's morbid but true. Maybe once some older members are no longer around, then they may let people join.???

The question is how many people can actually afford the membership, seeing how between a poor economy and a very high membership rate, who is kidding who? Furthermore, your meals are not complimentary, and they too are pricey.

I think the memberships end when people decided not to renew. Isn't it a set number of memberships at a time, like 300-400? You have to wait for someone to not renew in order to get moved up the list. (right?)

I think you are right about renewal. Whether it is expensive or not, I would like to do just to see what the experience would be like.

If you know someone that is a member, and they invite you as a guest, then one can experience Club 33 that way.

To add to that, the person inviting does not need to go with you. They just make the reservations in your name. You then go to guest services outside Disneyland where they give you a day pass to enter DL.

I do have such a friend but each time I have tried he was unable to get a reservation for Club 33 on the dates i would be visiting. One of these trips though!

I understand the process. For me it has been a fixation that I have had for along time. I understand the prices are high(Try Ramsey's on the Thames) or Lugars in NY. Like I said before it is the experience. Maybe dinner at 2000 and watch both F and people from the balcony.

I'm sorry but hearing the prices and seeing that the meals arent complimentary, personally, Club 33 sounds ridculous.

I must say that seeing how many people will complain about not being able to even get on the waiting list, amongst other statements, what with all of the various elements that pertains to this club, is quite rather amusing, actually.
I would love to dine at Club 33, when that might be however, I have no idea. In the mean time, I am happy and content with the Blue Bayou.

I also enjoy the Blue Bayou and many other places to eat. Love to watch the boats and listen to the sounds.

All kidding aside, my guess is that to those that can afford it, the initiation and annual dues mean nothing. I doubt that anyone saves for their membership. I further suspect that exceptions are made for a big player that wants a membership without waiting. For example, if Larry David wanted in, he'd likely get a Club 33 FastPass ;-).

yeah, for the ten people who can afford it (kidding, kidding) its probably nothing to them. I just dont see the whole logic of the membership I guess. I'm also not one to splurge...so...:confused3

Back in 1999, we had the privilege of eating at Club 33. Somehow my husband had a business friend who had been a member for years and made reservations for us. It was our first trip to Disneyland with our kids, who were 6, 5, and 3 1/2. It was really cool going in, like we were part of some kind of "secret" or something. The dining room was beautiful and elegant, as was the ladies' room. They had a buffet that day, and there was food for kids as well as adults. We had talked to our kids about how to behave, and they were great. We just wore our shorts from the park that day, but I guess that was fine. It was very pricey, but we are very glad we did it!
