Well at least you know you are not alone in wanting to go to 33. We ususally go to WDW but, next year we are going to DL for the first time. 33 was always a dream but, my DS came up with a backup plan. 33 1/2....we grab a snack & eat outside on the "curb", close our eyes & use our imagination.

Oh very fun!!! I love this idea!

I'm fortunate enough to be going to Club 33 tomorrow for my second time. I'm definitely thankful for the opportunity! Good luck to everyone trying to get in... I'm going with a friend whose mom knows someone who knows someone.

I was able to go to the Club this past Thursday, and while it was nice to go, I wouldn't put it as the greatest restaurant at Disneyland. It's wonderful to sit where Walt did, and see the history of the place, but in all honesty, Blue Bayou downstairs is a better value for the money, and I think the atmostphere is better as well.

We thought our meal at Club 33 was good. I did not have high expectations for the food, so I was pleasantly surprised. I agree the Blue Bayou is great atmosphere, but I disagree on the value and food. I will not eat at the Blue Bayou, because the meals have been mediocre. Maybe we have caught it on bad days, but we choose not to eat there anymore. However, I know it is a much loved place to eat for many others.

Not sure I agree on the value for the money comment, either. You get a one-day park hopper included for the minimum price of your lunch/dinner. If you don't have a pass, you've basically received your meal for free.

I do not think you really can put a $$$ figure on a visit to Club 33 other than it does cost money just like everything else in this world. I agree with Michael's statement above.
I met Walt back in 1964/65 when my uncle was working for Disney as wild life photographer and then producer and to me to have a visit to Club 33, to be close to the items he cherished would be number 1 on my bucket list. As you get older you tend to appreciate the good things in life more than just the dollar value. Probably one of the resasons I have not retired as of yet, so I can try and afford those good things when the opportunity avails itself.(As the bucket gets closer.)

I am not sure about teens ordering off the kids menu. I have never been with kids. Unless you have a picky eater I would think you would want them to order off the adult menu to get your monies worth. Dinner is not buffet you order completely off the menu. The minimum price is the same price as a one day one park pass into Disneyland. You can order everything a la carte, or they have a 5 course prefix menu. Last time I was there I think that was $85, and you can also get wine pairing added to that, I forgot how much extra that is, because I don't drink wine.

Pricing is based on "age" so if the guest is over the "child" pricing, yes, they can order off the children's menu but you will be paying the adult one-day one-park pricing for that entree.

Dinner, as noted by The Red Head, is a la carte pricing. Currently the 5-course meal is $75 plus $35 for the wine pairings. If one is definitely into the food/wine aspect of the meal it is very possible that your wine pairing will be a bit more than the 1/2 pour of the 5 wines. If you're one to enjoy a cocktail before dinner, DO!!! While the bar is not exhaustive, it is quite sufficient for most needs.

There have been people who report that the minimum cost does not include alcoholic beverages but that has never been our experience. At the same time, whether one partakes of alcohol or not, with a starter and/or soup/salad, entree, dessert, and beverage, we have never not made the requirement for a dinner.

I have only been to the lunch once so I'm probably not the best to say whether it's wonderful or not, but I don't really care for buffets and that's too early in the day for me for a heavy meal. I thoroughly enjoy the dinners at the Club. Whether we have a reservation at 5:30 or 9:00, our time is ours and we are treated extremely well. There is no rush to get us out/turn the table and that is one thing that makes us try to go back as often as we are able.

I have been intigued my Club 33 since it opened and have recently gotten into exploring how it operates. I am not a wealthy person, but I do work hard at two jobs to provide the best I can for my family. My DGF works Neonatal transports and volunteers in an HIV/AIDS clinic so day by day we are very busy people.
In my younger years having lunch with Walt, meeting Lillian and some of the animators, just the thought of ever eating there gives me the shivers.(And trust me, virtually nothing does that anymore.) It is not the money or the prestige, it is the experience!
After reading your post, I would probably do dinner and hang out on the balcony just to watch the goings on.
We really enjoyed watching F from the Gallery which I hear maybe an expansion area for Club 33 in the future. Everyone has to have their flights of fancy.

One of the best parts of having dinner at Club 33 for us was stepping away from the table, going out on the balcony, and watching Fantasmic! from the balcony. That was a special part of the evening for us, not possible (clearly) with brunch.

...And hardly possible at dinner either, since the new trees and the large older trees almost completely obstruct the view from either of the club's balconies. Those trees could easily be pruned or thinned to allow better viewing.That said, I prefer dinner to lunch, largely because I don't like buffets. I hate carrying food to my table in restaurants, especially at Club 33.

Sounds like a lot of fun and kicking back. I am a park commando most of the time, last year I did slow down a bit and enjoy, but did get as much accomplished as I wished.

It was a great night. As for kicking back, you sort of have to understand how we were at Club 33.

A good friend of ours who is not really a Disney fan scared1 (and a few of her co-workers) were extended the invitation from a business client as a thank you for completing a contracted project. Each of them was invited to bring 3 guests with them. My friend brought her husband and (knowing what a huge Disney fan I am) me and my DH.

They had no interest in playing in the Park prior to dinner and we all went together. Since DH & I could use our APs to go anytime, it was not a big deal for us - we (okay, I) were just ecstatic to have been invited to Club 33.

It was a night to celebrate our friend and her co-workers' hard work and we were honored to be included. Touring the Park full-speed ahead was not anywhere near anyone's thoughts that night. It was about enjoying the moment... which was great.

I don't think I would want to rush through a Club 33 experience, even if I only had a few days in the Park. Sometimes you have to slow down to truly enjoy.

My DGF is a big nostalga freak when it comes to Disney. If you were to walk into our home you would be welcomed by Disney serigraphs, collectables, SHAG orginals and prints until you get to the family room. Having the opportunity I would be taking many descrete photo's.

My DH and I will be visiting Disneyland for the first time for NYE I'd love to dine at Club 33. We're huge Disney fans, and I'd love to surprise DH with a meal here. If anyone is willing to help I'd greatly appreciate it. We're going December 29-Jan 1 (lunch time) I know it's a busy time of year, and I'm not sure how reservations work, but I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much.
