We're going to Club 33!!! I'm sooooo excited! A friend of ours called last night to ask if we would want to go with them on Saturday if he could get a reservation from his colleague (the member). Today, he confirmed that we have a ressie for this Saturday for dinner! He got the reservation for 10, though, which is for both of our whole families. I told him that I would rather go without the kids, though. Now I'm not sure if they are bringing their kids or not, but we are not bringing ours. I was wondering, for any of you that have gone before, what happens if you have a reservation for a certain number of guests, and then less show up? Do they charge for that? Also, any other tips for a first time trip to Club 33 would be great! Thanks! :)

Your posts just hit 333 with this... seems ironic :)

Have fun!! To answer your questions, I'm pretty sure the company will be charged for anyone on the list that does not show. The cost for Club 33 includes a day pass to the park, so I'm 90% sure that if they are a no-show, the company or member of Club 33 will be charged for that.

As for tips--have fun, don't be afraid/embarrassed to ask for your picture taken, they will gladly do so for you. Also, ask to go out on the balcony and look around and take pictures out there. Lastly, ask about the dress code--the first time I was there they weren't adhering to it, but the last time I was there they were very strict about it and enforced it (no sleeveless blouses on ladies, for example).

If there are any no-shows, the person who got you in will get billed for it.... you do not no-show at Club 33, not even by a single person. Dress code... it's only really enforced for dinner (and very loosely at that). I personally go in no less than a collared shirt (Polo or LaCoste) and casual slacks

I had no problem with a dress code, I was dressed very casual and no one said a word-but it doesn't hurt to ask. Have fun and bring your camera.

Do not wear anything sleeveless, unless you have a sweater/jacket over it. My sister was wearing a sleeveless, embellished top and skirt and was not allowed in until she put her sweater on. Luckily she had one with her!

Personally, I think Club 33 is special and why not dress up for dinner. I like to dress up a bit, more than for a normal day in the park.

Congratulations and enjoy!

From what I understand.. if you have ressies for 10. only 8 come, you only pick up passes for the 8 that show. So that was the member is not charged.

Personally I would call and tell them that the kids are not going to save some one some $ if that is no the case. As you must spend about $65 per person. And if you don't you will be charged the equilivant of that.

I went on a date there and in no way would have taken my kids. Maybe when they are big enough to use a grown up knife I would.. The food is good, the atmosphere is great and I can't wait to be able to go again..

FYI, The member will be charged a $100 no-show fee per guest that does not show. Additionally, the member will be charged the price of a one-day park hopper in addition to the $100 no-show fee for each complimentary admission pass that is used for each guest that doesn't show at the club.

Make sure any changes to your reservation are made 36 hours prior thereto.

Thanks for all the info so far! We actually have AP's, so we won't be using Club 33 as a way into the park. My DH told our friend that we wouldn't be bringing the kids, so he could have his friend amend the reservation. I was just curious if they would charge for a change in party size. Also, what if you brought your kids and they didn't eat? Will they charge you for a meal anyway? Again, just curious. There's a reason I'm not bringing the kids, ranging from cost, won't eat, want to relax, etc.... I think our friends are still going to bring their kids, though. They tried to persuade me with the fact that Mickey & Friends will be there, but we are also going to the Easter Brunch on Sunday, so we can see characters there. Also, my kids are DS14(autistic), DS12 & DD10, and they are really not that interested in going anyway. I was reading up on Club 33 online and I read that they are really strict on no cell phones on or taking calls at the table (which is fine by me). The first thing my DS12 asked when I asked him about going to the club was whether he could bring his video game! I don't think so! lol I also saw some stuff on the dress code. I definately want to dress nice. It will make it more special. I do need to add some "dress up" clothes to my suitcase now, though! I didn't have that on my regular list of going to Disneyland this trip! :)

We had lunch there in October and did not bring our son (he stayed with my Mom in the hotel). I wanted it to be a special memory for DH and I, just to relax and enjoy everything. We may be going again in June, this time we will have our son come along if we go.

I just went 2 weeks ago and it was wonderful! My kids went (8 and 11) and they had a great time. Since we were a large party of 9 we got to eat in the Trophy Room, which was amazing! The server and the busser were very knowledgeable about the artifacts in the room. The sense of history was really cool. Since you are a larger group as well you may luck out and get the Trophy Room too. For lots of pictures, check out this thread and scroll about halfway down :)

My friends are still bringing their kids. What's the dress code for kids? The same as adults? Can they wear jeans? Tennis shoes? This would be for dinner, not lunch, as I know lunch is more casual.

I just realized that Fantasmic is playing at 9pm on Saturday. We have an 8:30pm reservation. Will we be able to see Fantasmic from the restaurant? Anyone have any experience? Thanks!

Here is a copy of the dress code from Club 33, the dress code is strictly enforced, be sure you adhere to it, otherwise you will not get in:

“For lunch, members and guests may come in fashionable casual attire in order to enjoy the Disneyland Resort in comfort. However, no tank tops, cutoffs, swimsuits, bare midriffs, sweatpants or beachwear maybe worn. Walking length shorts are acceptable. Jeans are acceptable, provided that they cover undergarments and are not extremely faded or torn.”

“If members and guests have been enjoying the day in the Disneyland Resort parks, evening casual attire is acceptable for dinner. For gentleman, collared shirts and trousers are appropriate; for woman, an informal dress or pants with blouse are appropriate. A common question is whether shorts or short pants are acceptable. Shorts or short pants are acceptable for lunch only and not for dinner.”

“Appropriate dress for children and young adults should be in keeping with standards set for adults.”

It is in the best interest of the member to change the number of persons on the reservation so he doesn't risk getting charged for non showing persons. If tickets are picked up at guest relations and they don't show up for dinner at the club, then the member is charged for the park hopper tickets (more expensive than 1 park) and a $100 no charge fee.

Even if you have an annual pass, you can use it, but tickets come complimentary with your Club 33 reservation and you are still required to spend a minimum amount on food purchases.

I don't know if you will be able to see Fanntasmic during your dinner reservation.

They offered our party to stay and watch Fantasmic on the balcony--ask them and I'm sure they'd let you! (You won't be able to see it from inside due to the window coverings, but go out on the balcony).

Our dinner ressie is for 8:30 and Fantasmic is at 9, so I'm thinking maybe that we wouldn't be just getting up from our table in the middle of the meal and watching it, though! How big is the balcony? Does everyone in the restaurant go out there, or is it just a few guests?

I've got another question. Does anyone know how late Club 33 is open? I want to purchase some items, so I wonder if I have to get up in the middle of dinner, for fear of them closing the "store"! (We have 8:30pm reservations)

There is no store really. It's just a cabinet full of items. The person at the front desk came up and brought us our items and we paid her as well.
