I know this is a super long shot, maybe even like winning the lottery, but I have to give it a try. My wife and I are celebrating are 5th wedding anniversary May 26th, and have celebrated it in Disneyland 3 out of our 4 anniversaries. I would really like to make this extra special since its our 5th and take here to club 33. I am not sure if we will be able to celebrate at DL again for a while, because we are trying to have kids, and money is already tight, because we are living on student loans while I go to Medical School. We have celebrated at Blue Bayou and Napa Rose in the past. I know that whoever would be able to offer this would be at risk if we were to act inappropriately, but I assure you we are decent people. We hope to join club 33 ourselves one day when I finish medical school and pay off my student loans. We haven't put our names on the waiting list yet, because we don't want to get an invite before we have the money. Thanks for your time, I am not even sure if this is the best way of trying to pursue a reservation, but this board was very helpful for our first DW trip last August, and it never hurts to wish upon a star. :)

I wish you the best of luck! We get this question on these boards about once a week though, so I just want you to have realistic expectations ;)

Wow, I didn't realize people asked that often. In all reality its just hoping that someone will feel that its a worthy cause, if not we will have a wonderful anniversary none the less. :goodvibes

Maybe we need a cummulative thread for these requests like we have for Aladdin and TTMM. Then if anyone randomly wants to extend their membership to total strangers over a message board they can start at the top of the list...

It is a very popular wish/post for many people for many reasons

Many years ago I had this wish to go, no internet,(God forbid) no way to even go.Years later I joined the disboards and post in other venues about this life long(since the club opened wish.

One day a member wrote and offered to sponsor me and my family for a Club 33 visit. I have a past with Walt when i was young and this was the best gift I have ever received(other than my family) I can never repay that gift.

So from a man of 66 years, dreams and wishes do come true.

True, it is an eating place like many say, unlike no other in the world and it was listed not to long ago as one of the top 5 places you can NOT get into.

Best of luck,

Jack

I really didn't mean to clutter the boards with another request like this. To be honest I never checked to see if others had requested this in the past. I just didn't know how else to go about looking for a reservation. If anyone has any tips on where I could go to look for one I would sincerely appreciate it.

Politely ask everyone you know. Physicians have contacts, vendors have memberships, some time people find out that close friends have connections. If you are a Disney person let them know..found out there are a lot of closet disney folks. Good luck..

There are multiple threads about the same thing all the time, but we are here to help those who are willing to ask.

I would like tips too!

Don't feel bad I put up the same request about a week ago with the same results(: It's such a bummer that it is sooooooo super hard to get in to when you want to give something realllly special to the person you care about the most(:

Don't lose hope :) If it wasn't hard to get into it wouldn't be such a special experience and the place would be over run. I think its also important to understand that we are asking complete strangers for there trust. Plus if I was in the club, I'm not sure I would want others to know, because then I might be overrun with requests, even if I did want to help someone out. I'm sure we'll both get our turn one of these days, lets just hope its sooner than later. Good Luck!

I won't lose hope, I love being optimistic too much(: Good luck to you as well! I hope we both get our chances as quickly as time will allow :D

We haven't put our names on the waiting list yet, because we don't want to get an invite before we have the money.
Just so you are aware, the waiting list is closed, so even if you wanted to put your name on it, it isn't possible at this time. (I believe it closed in 2007 or 2008.) They have said when the list drops below a 10 year wait, they will reopen. I have been on the wait list for about 7 years and have been told I probably have another 4-5 years before I reach the top of the list. When they do reopen, I would suggest you put your name on immediately, and if you aren't sure if you would have the funding in 10 years, after about 5 years if it is still open, put your spouses name on the list. That way if you do have to be skipped, your spouse might be up a few years later.

As for asking, you will have better luck letting people around you know you are interested. Professors, bosses, friends who work at large companies, and basically anyone else, you seriously have no idea who might have or have access to a membership. My story is simple. I was talking with a friend at Disneyland (someone I had known for a few years) and she asked what I was doing for my son's 21st birthday. I commented I was still on the C33 wait list, I had hoped to take him there for his 21st birthday, but I guess we would settle for Goofy's. She looked at me a little funny and said "You want to go to Club 33?" I said YES... Next thing I knew, we were booked for a lunch! So, you never know who may have a membership. Just let people know you are interested....

Well how do you know when they open the waiting list up again. I will surely have the money 15 years from now.

I sure hope I do as well :rotfl2:

That being said, Ive been waiting 3 years for the list to re-open because now I can finally afford it. I have a feeling the day it reopens the boards will be abuzz with activity.

Call Disneyland periodically to check.

I have to emphasize the above advice. Someone you know knows someone who knows someone who has access to Club 33. Just keep talking about it to everyone you know. You'll be surprised where your invite comes from one day.

I have been twice. Tried to find someone who had an "in" for a recent very significant birthday to no avail as both contacts' contacts are no longer connected with their contact, but I have faith I'll go again one day. Someone I know knows someone who, well, you have the idea. :goodvibes

I feel very fortunate to have experienced it one time. I could never afford to get in. I never knew anyone could get in period. It was in the 90's when I was invited so I went. I have my memories. I hope you can get in.

I'm going to echo what everyone else said. Network, network, network. We were able to go through a friend of a friend. It was a fun experience and one that I would love to repeat.

Another vote for networking! I am on the wait list (for about 5 years) and figured I would never be able to go until my name came up. But I was lucky and got 2 invitations this year from people I had no idea could go. I walk on a trail every day with my dog and see the same people. Earlier this year, I noticed one of the ladies had on a Club 33 hat. I asked if she had gone and mentioned that it was on my bucket list. She works for a large corporation and can go on her work anniversary and just happened to have one coming up and invited me! So ask friends who work for large corps - Chevron, Honda, AT&T, you get the idea!

The other invite came as I was discussing an upcoming trip to DL with a group of friends at a party. One friend mentioned that her brother loved DL as much as me and said, "in fact, he is a member of Club 33!" And we got another invite!! You just never know who is either a member, their company is a member or knows a member! Just put it out there!

Hope you get your invite!

Thanks for the advice everyone, Maybe Ill facebook it :)
I wouldn't recommend this exactly. Let it be known, but I wouldn't push it too much. I know several members (or members who have access through large corporations) and the one thing the majority of them HATE is people asking them on facebook. I do suggest chatting with people, if they are on facebook and you find out they have a membership, make friends with them for them, and not for their membership.
