I'm still waiting.![]()
no harm in asking...it's like playing powerball, gotta buy a ticket to have a chance to win![]()
It's funny because I got an invite to the club, but now I don't even want to use it for this occasion because of return visits, which will be meaningful. I'm working with the guest relations on having mickey make a phone call for me to my GF. It's probably going to be pre-recorded, but when her phone rings, I will have ringtone "dreams come true" tune and a pic of mickey and his name will pop up. I will then talk to mickey, he will show up, and kind of spoof propose to her, but then laugh and give me the ring. I thought it would be cute and romantic? What do you think?
Your proposal idea is great!
But honestly I don't think 33 is worth it. First of all for such a high end establishment their website sucks. Secondly the menu I saw was not all that impressive. And last i just don't think its romantic. It looks stuffy. I think the idea of going to 33 will end up being way better than actually eating there..and that equals disappointment.
There is no official web site for Club 33. If you found something on the web, it's a fan's web site;
Menus change (granted, not often) - what is impressive to some, won't be to others;
Romance.....this, too, is subjective.
It definately sounds like a cute idea, however; as I once heard someone very wise say, what a girl really wants is a guy on one knee, tears in his eyes, ring in his hand. In my personal opinion, if you use Mickey as a spoof proposal, it might make it seem a little cartoonish (pun intended) and cheesy, rather than the romantic you are trying to go for. I agree with other suggestions. Somewhere around the Castle or in one of the other restaurants would be perfect. After all, if she's the one, you want her to tell the story to all of her friends and for it to always sound romantic. Having a plan ahead of time and incorporating in the staff or cast members sounds beautiful, but maybe tweak your idea.
Best of luck to you both, and I wish you a life of love and happiness.

Noticed it was old but deserved a response from my point of view. Everyone has an opinion and maybe it was a bad experience going on with this persons whole DL experience.
Club 33 is there for the members to enjoy and the other invited few. It is a special eating place and if the prices, etc do not meet their expectations then they should enjoy their eating experience at the other venues.

No worries Jack. I was just addressing the posters that were giving romantic advice, since the OP hasn't been back to the site since starting the thread a year ago.

The food is pretty dang good. The Candlelight dinner was a fixed menu, and even my kids enjoyed trying all the new things.I have a *serious* foodie friend who got an invite there (I think it was some sort of media/PR/govt'y thing, since he works in that industry and his wife wasn't invited), and he was absolutely in awe of the food he ate there. So I doubt if it's generally a disappointment to people. I mean, sure, weird things happen, and sometimes one person's taste isn't the same as other people's tastes...but I think in general it seems to be a quality establishment.
