CLs?

If a CL is a normal player from VMK chosen to part-time moderate, do they have to chnage their name? For example, My sister Confetti-Cake and I were lucky enough to stumble upon VMK_Titan the CL. Did that mean he had to chnage his name? Thanks.

The VMK Staff can have any badge they want on their profile. Even though VMK_Titan may have a Community Leader badge, he has the VMK_ title and the Orange Mickey badge which means he is actually a VMK Staff member, more power than a community leader.

The community leader program was retired on October 25, 2007 so VMK could make improvements to it. So, there are no community leaders (CL_'s) in the game at the moment. As of now, we have not heard anything about when the program will return.

There were a lot of CLs here, on the Dis. There is a list in the Wiki, if anyone wishes to know who they were, but the point is pretty moot, as the program no longer exists.
CLs held no power on vmk. They were originally intended to be someone other players could ask game related questions of, however the program had many flaws.
In response to the original post, CLs were NOT there to moderate the game in ANY way. They were regular players with CL_ in front of their titles and a Sorcerer hat badge on their lanyard. Nothing more. Avatars you see with VMK_ or HOST_ are paid members of staff who are there to moderate the game.
Let's hope that clears things up a bit.

VMK_Titan is a different person entirely from the former Leader CL_thetitan. They just shared similar titles.

Community leaders did not have to change their name when the program was around unless the name was over 18 letters (in which you'd see a guest community leader - it has happened a few times). Otherwise you get CL_ added in front of your name. So when I was a leader way back when, they added the prefix to make my name CL_Renpener.
