Clothing sizing question for Abercrombie

Ok, my niece is going to be 12, and is really into Abercrombie & hollister clothing. I wanted to get her some, but not sure on the size. Shes currently still in a girls size 14-16 clothing...would that be a size small at these stores? Thanks!

At Abercrombie it would be a large.

At Abercrombie and Fitch and Hollister it would be an extra small.

My DD is 14 and she wears a size 0 or 1 at most stores. She can still fit into the 14/16s at Abercrombie (they are tight), but she can wear the extra small sizes at A&F.
