What clothes do you advise for the weather there right now ?

Are t-shirts and shorts appropriate or is it a full-sleeve shirts, jeans, sweater job ?

I ask as I'm packing my bags and don't wanna waste space.

I have looked at Uk weather and it's 6-7 degrees centigrade and Orlando seems to be 8-22 degrees. I still can't comprehend whether thats comfortable for us or cold !

Please tell us what you'd wear .

Love,

Kul

I just left yesterday, and would be sure to pack some long pants, sweatshirts, and gloves! Not sure what the forecast is upcoming, but it is a little chilly! Was 60 degrees and cloudly when I left. However, we did wear shorts for the most part of the trip, only needed jeans and sweatshirts two days near the end!

Yes. At this time of the year, you really need to pack a range of clothing, typically for weather from upper 30's to lower 70's. Enjoy. :wave2:

I second what Dan said. We have been 3 times in early to mid January and the temps have ranged from a high of 38 during the day to the low 80's. At night 30's to 60's. You will need to pack the range. Pixie dust to you and enjoy!

People in the parks yesterday were wearing parkas, mittens, scarves, and babies were bundled in blankets. It can get surprisingly cold. Bring at least one cold weather set of clothing. Layers are your best bet.

I understand the need to conserve space, but unless you want to spend money on very expensive clothing, best to bring your own and be prepared! :D

We went 3 years ago at the end of January (going again in 2 weeks!!!!) and the day we arrived it was 75 degrees, the next day, it was 50 and rainy and it continued to get colder as the week went on. One morning, it was 40 degrees, 25 with wind chill. Unfortunately, we had only packed warm weather clothes and ended up buying a few sweatshirts at the resort store.

Luckily, I had a fleece jacket that I wore on the plane and I wore it everyday that trip. The pictures look funny...it doesn't even look like we were in Florida! We're from the Northeast part of the US so we're used to cold temps this time of year, but even 40's and 50's felt cold in Florida. We will be packing both warm and cold weather clothes for this trip!

Hope that helps your planning!!!

I know that space can be a problem when traveling, but you definitely need to be prepared for a wide range of temps. We were there last week-end, and Disney was making a ton of money on sweatshirts, gloves, etc. There were people getting off the monorail at the MK wearing short sleeved T-shirts and shorts. The Emporium was packed with people buying warmer clothing. Florida weather is very unpredictable this time of year.

As people have stated, weather can be all over the place - if I was from the UK, I would plan as if I would expect a combination of tepid summer and late fall/early spring - that way you have all the bases covered - here are some weather forecast links:

For example it is 7 Celsius there at 0540 today

If you hit the parks early make sure your first layer of clothing can be taken off without being kicked out of the parks

:jester:

As the temps might start out around 7-12 Celsius and then climb to 20+

Have a great trip

thanks
