We've never been in April. Will we be fine in shorts in the evenings..how chilly does it get? Thank you!!

According to The Weather Channel the average daytime temp is low 80's and nighttime is high 50's. We are going the first week of April and the Average high is 82* and low is 58*.

but is the weather channel realistic? I was hoping it would be warm, maybe even boardering on hot :sunny: :cool1: , am I out of luck?

The average daily low at Walt Disney World in April is 60 degrees, and the average daily high is 84 degrees. Since you are used to cold weather in PA, I doubt if you will get too chilly. But if you do decide to take a light jacket to the parks, remember that all parks have storage lockers where you can stash the jacket if you wanna get rid of it for a while.

Enjoy.

We were there in April of 03 for easter. I hate to say it, but it depends. I can tell you the day time weather was hot. I can see you are from Pa, so you are certainly used to colder weather. The problem is, we are from Mass, and my wife is always cold. She wore pants most nights during that time.

Here are some links to April temps there:

Hope that helps!

APRIL is a big girl.
She can buy her OWN clothes.

;)

we have been to wdw in april twice. the days are perfect but the early ams and late pms can be quite chilly. we just took sweatshirts to get thru these times. have fun!!!

We were there last April 23-27th. Most nights I needed a light jacket. In fact, took light jackets for the kids but not for DH and me. It got so cold the first night that we both bought jackets. Of course you can imagine the Disney price. :faint: Will be taking my "Disney Jacket" with me this year when we visit.

Late April or early April?

Being from Saskatchewan (Canada), it takes quite a bit to make us cold... we were there in late April in 2000 and it was beautiful, I think I only wore long pants once, was never cold. I would make the bulk of my "bottoms" shorts for late April but take some jeans and sweatshirts just in case. It's hardly COLD, it's a bit chilly to swim sometimes but it gets pretty warm.

We spent the 1st week of May in Disney last year.

It was warm enough during the day that we went to the waterparks often.

I remember the night of EMH at MK though....by 10 p.m., we were all chilly & we had to leave & go back to POP because DS7 was just too cold & not having fun anymore. DD10 was bummed about that because we were planning on staying til midnight or so.

I would not go w/o a jacket.

we go during the third week in april. In the early mornings it is somewhat cool. My DW will wear a sweater, or light jacket. After that it it shorts all day long. And then again after 10 or so, if we are still out then it may start to get a bit cool again. But during the days it is always shorts. It has always been warm/hot during the days.

We have been around March/April/May twice. Both times it was just like brentalex stated. We would bring sweatshirts and then ditch them in the back pack for the rest of the day. When the sun went down, the sweatshirts came back out.

We just got back from Orlando for Feb. break and it was 80 degree weather every day. One day it even hit 85. I quess three days before we got there, it was 35. I quess you never know.

I looks like the pattern for this year is warm. Hope the trend keeps going.
