I am a blue jean / T-shirt / tennis shoe person. Going to do a 4 day Bahamas cruise this November (for 25th anniversary). I have a hard time picking out clothes and hate clothes shopping, being over weight does not help. Any suggestions of what to wear and not wear. Do not plan on doing Palo.

You said it blue jean/ t shirt and tennis shoes. I wear a collar shirt but you don't have to. Enjoy

You will be fine! If you are not doing Palo or Remy, "Cruise Casual" is the everyday dress code. I believe on the 4 night cruise there is one semi formal night, but you don't have to partake. If you do want to - no sneakers or Jeans, and instead maybe a blouse, or collared shirt, and slacks could do it. If you feel underdressed that night, you can opt for the Cabanas restaurant which we loved for dinner!

Palo's dress code was recently changed to allow jeans and I guess t-shirts (with limitations on graphics and offensive language). Not sure why they have the limitation on tennis shoes given the way they loosened the jeans and shirts requirements.

Dress to Impress
To preserve the elegant ambiance of this restaurant, you are asked to adhere to a dress code when dining at Palo. We recommend dress pants or slacks and a collared shirt for men, and a dress, skirt or pants and a blouse for women. Jeans may also be worn if in good condition (no holes). Please no tank tops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, shorts, hats, cut-offs, torn clothing, t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics, flip-flops or tennis shoes

If you want to spruce it up with your normal wardrobe, you could do a sports coat with the jeans and over the t-shirt.

Throw a nice leather jacket over the jeans and tee and channel Billy Joel. :)
Seriously, you should be just fine. I wear capris and tee shirts, my husband wears tee shirts and jeans or shorts. Comfort is the key in my book. Especially if you are not dining in Palo or Remy and there is no formal night to think about.

You will be fine. As long as you don't wear wet bathing suits into the dining rooms, no one will looks at you twice. We were on a 7 night trip and even on the formal nights, some people weren't formal, and that was just fine. Even for the formal pictures with photographers, everyone was able to "do their own thing" and feel good about it.
