Clothers Washer - Opinions Wanted

OP I do not know the answer to your question, My last 2 washin machines has had that sensor in them an it seems to work. I halso have a setting for BULKY items such as comforters but only have a Queen size.

What I wanted to add is. Once my Maytag starts the lid is locked no opening it unless I totally stop the washer which tells me nothing actually. I want to see my clothes swish around once in awhile.

My Cabrio washes my Cali King comforter just fine. I DO set it on Heavy Duty, but my DH sleeps in his skivvies and ends up tossing it away and over, so when he moves his body touches it. He's not a dirty man, but I like to give it the royal treatment so to speak.

I used to cloth diaper my littles, and a trick that was passed around was to add a weet item or even put some water into the drum to "trick" it into thinking that there was more weight then there actually was. I never had to do that even with super dirty diapers that came out amazing after one wash cycle so I think my Cabrio is awesome!

NEW QUESTIONS: OK--after a little more research--I am leaning toward a no agitator machine. I understand the washer weighs the clothes to determine the water level. I have a King size comforter which is light and fluffy. If the machine fills according to weight, how does it know to fill it to enough to cover something light and fluffy??? I asked both salesmen and they did not have an answer. They just recommended a 4.7 tub as opposed to a 3.6 tub. Sounds good, but it still does not mean it will cover my King size comforter.

I added the above to my initial post. I assume it uses an average weight, but certainly a load of jeans will weigh more than a King size comforter. Maybe I am missing something.

Look for a machine that has a "bedding" setting. It then knows that although the item is lightweight - such as sheets - it will be bulky and needs more water. My machine washes the bedding for a longer period of time (an hour and 44 minutes as opposed to 1 hour and 4 minutes - yeah, it tells me exactly how long it's going to run for :cloud9:) and has a steam function that forces hot water thru the clothes to help remove dirt that's trapped inside.
