Cloth diapering on a cruise????!!!

I cloth diapered both of my kids almost the entire time. I did use the Seventh Generation ones on occasion and they worked great on my son with very sensitive skin.:thumbsup2 I agree with those who say to try it out at home and give yourself a much needed mommy break on the cruise-not because I think it's unsanitarty or anything like that but just because it would be a good time to not have to worry about it. A cloth diaper has to be changed about every hour or so and the disposable ones will give you more time to enjoy in between.:thumbsup2 Our Kroger now sales the Seventh Gen. and you can also find them at places like Wild Oats or Whole Foods or a local health food store or order off the internet.

Check into gDiapers. I'm not sure if they would meet your needs, but it seems like they are a combo of cloth and disposable. They have a cloth shell that you snap liners into, and the liners are biodegradable and flushable!

I am closing this thread since the OP has received advice from others who have used cloth diapers and has reached a decision. This is not the place to debate parenting decisions. Thank you.

Has anyone had experience with cloth diapers on the cruise? I am still debating on what to bring with me.

Thanks

I used cloth diapers for my kids but on vacation I took a break from them. How do you plan on storing the used ones????? Do you really want to be washing them on vacation when there are lots more enjoyable things to be doing?

We cloth diapered our son, so hello fellow cloth mom :)

We are taking our first cruise in Sept, and DS is already potty training, and hopefully fully by the time we go (he's 2.5yrs right now).

But I think that if he was still in diapers full time for our cruise, I'd probably just use disposibles for that week for a couple of reasons.
1) We have to fly from Canada and I don't want to bring an extra suitcase just for his diapers, lol
2) I wouldn't want to try to find time to do diaper laundry on our vacation, and wouldn't want to run out if I couldn't do laundry in time
3) It will be easier to just bring a few sposies with us and then buy some more when we get down there

Ok guys...I merged the two cloth diaper threads so the good info provided could be found in one place.......the original was closed due to some argumentative posts but I have reopened it in hope that we can all post good information and not turn it into a parenting debate.

If this thread turns at all argumentative it will be closed again. Thanks for your cooperation.:thumbsup2

Lisa...I sent you a PM.
