Closing Times for DHS and AK in Oct 7PM?!

My first trip to Disney in October is in 98 days. I was wondering if in everyone else's experience closing times will be extended beyond 7PM for HS and AK? That seems way too early to me. At least 9 PM is more reasonable. Any thought or info would be appreciated!

They will be extending the hours on some or most nights.
(That's become standard procedure over the last 3-6 years.)

I'm there Oct 22 to 29 and it's hard to plan. When we were there in May, DHS fireworks were not every night. Right now we are planning Oct 28 but if there are not fireworks that night we will have to change it. It's also unclear if the AK night show will be on. We have to make fastpasses on August 23 and they have not been releasing this info until about a month before. Only have 2 ADRs right now.

Yep, we are going in 20 days and they just added an hour to our DHS day. (I was kinda looking forward to an 8:30 closing, but oh well.)

Right now closing hours for AK for November is 5 pm. I'll be happy with 7 pm. Keeping my fingers crossed! Anyone know when November schedule will be posted?

Nov. hours have been posted for a few months, now. HERE.

As to when they may EXTEND these hours and add events...
that can be anytime between now and a week or so before the actual dates in question.
