Never looked at this thread before until now.... the amount of time waiting for things to close and get points loaded is excruciating!!! Sometimes almost 3 months!!! I just did not know it could be like that for resale contracts, and it is a reminder of how DVC uses the expediency of the direct sales process to basically force points on people who may still be on the fence.

Having just bought 200 direct points, it was absurd how my conversation with a guide on a DCL cruise last month went from "remind me what the incentives are this cycle" to points loaded in my dashboard in about 15 minutes. I almost complained - no money was collected (although he took my credit card info) and I left the conversation at "my wife and I will discuss it". Then, you start looking at the points on your dashboard and begin the mental planning of what to do with them, and now you're selling the points to yourself! That must be part of the DVC direct strategy - show you points you haven't paid for until you convince yourself to buy them!

We just added some direct at CCV and RIV. I was looking at points on my dashboard before I even had the docusign email. It is VERY alluring indeed!

And for those that crave instant gratification, see numerous posts just on this thread alone for proof, it is pure magic!!

With the amount of time it has taken to get our points, I would consider buying direct if there is a good deal Our offer was accepted 96 days ago. It has been painful lol

I am so glad for you! I know we had the same issue with the title company holding on to documents until 12/30. I hope mine come soon!

WHY do sellers drag their feet in returning signed documents?? I don’t get it. I would think they would want to close just as urgently as the buyer??

I've been tracking this as my deed was recorded on the 15th and I have seen timelines between 2 & 4 weeks. I am at 12 days today and hoping I am closer to the 2 week mark than the 4.

I'm at 4 weeks now. I did see one posted here where the deed recorded after mine and they had the points a week ago. So, it's not necessarily consistent, but I know I'm close or at least I think I'm close to seeing the points.

We closed 12/30 and our deed was recorded on 12/31. Still no points for us either.
