I’m also going under “my profile” and then “membership info”. I also just resorted to chatting with DVC, asking for any updates. Got the generic response that it can take 2-8 weeks! Watching everyone the last few weeks get it loaded around 9 days after closing….. this is driving me insane. And my 11 month window opens for our May trip in 6 days. I thought for sure this would be done by now!

The one thing not mentioned enough when comparing resale vs direct is the excruciatingly long periods of time between the what feels like 500 steps of the resale process. My ADHD brain craves the instant satisfaction direct would bring me. But I digress since I also love saving money.

That's what I'm hoping. My first one took a week, though I see from other folks' data here that that may have been on the quicker side. So I thought I'd see if I could pull a reverse jinx and post this, with the idea that I will now of course get my emails later today. Probably not a good plan . I admit I'm getting itchy on this one, as I've got a pressing need for these points. I'm going to have to see if I can nudge MS into getting them loaded ASAP once the contract shows up.
I hope yours moves through quickly, especially after the delay in the recording. That's an odd one.

We closed on 5/15 and recorded on 5/16…..crickets. And it seems as if I’m not the only one. For some reason there seems to have been a major slowdown in that 8-10 day turn around. So I would definitely plan accordingly.

I saw that yours was taking extra time, and that some others are in similar situations. Bummer. I hope it comes through for you very soon, and that they don't drag their feet on your points as well....

I sent a message through my DVC account. I went to contact us, then member administration, then email us, and it had me fill out a message through there.
At first I sent a regular email to members@disneyvacationclub.com, but they emailed back saying I had to contact them when logged into my account.

Congrats, and nicely done! Yours was another of too many that seem to be taking a little too long lately. Hopefully you'll get your points ASAP now. Thanks for letting us know how you went about it. I'm going to try this myself if I drift on into next week and hit the two-weeks-since-recording mark.

Agreed. Our last purchase was VGC direct and we had the points in our account same day. The seller just accepted our offer on a resale and, from previous resale experience, I know how slow the process can be (and feel even slower). But yes the savings per point makes it all worth it.
