Closing question

I sent my check to the title company they confirmed receipt. What happens now? I mean actually. Does it close immediately? Is the hang up waiting for the county to transfer title/deed? When does the paperwork go to Disney? I guess what I'm really asking for is a timeline on what to expect. If there is already a thread please just point me there just didn't find it.

It will still take a couple of weeks. They need to get the sellers' paperwork (which is more complicated than a buyer's at this stage), then process the closing, file the title, and notify Disney. Then Disney needs to act.

One of the biggest factors in the timeline is the return of the paperwork. Sellers must have those papers notarized and it can sometimes take time to do that. When I sold last year, it took my DH and I almost a week to coordinate our schedules to meet at the bank to have them done.

But, when I bought resale, it took my seller close to 3 weeks to get the documents in, partially because he was selling 2 other contracts and wanted to wait until they were all there so it was one trip to the bank (which I certainly understood).

Once those are in, however, it is usually not that long until they officially close the contract. Once Disney has it, then its about 2 weeks until you are in the system with your points, ready for reservations.

Never actually got a email from the title company but just on w whim looked in orange county and there I am deed filed yesterday. 12 days after I sent papers in. Now another wait

Ah you are lucky, I'm still waiting for the sellers to get their paperwork in to the title co. Just hanging round this board trying to be patient.......

I sent my Docs back on wed the 25th of july. Sellers arrived at office on monday July 30th. Closed and listed on OC records on Friday Aug 3rd. So it took 4-5 days from the time they had all docs in hand.
